While searching for a dictionary with diacritics, I came across this online Arabic dictionary that is also a free download:

On this site you may freely download my Arabic dictionary application (Win 9x, XP, etc.). It can be a convenient tool for fast look-up of words while reading Arabic texts. It also features some grammar help, including a verb conjugation engine (which is not yet completed). I hope you will find it usefull.
Please be aware that the dictionary contains a limited amount of words, so you will still need a dictionary to look up words which are less commonly used. If you come across words you think should be in the dictionary, please let me know, and I will add them to it (if I agree, mind you).
NEW: Now you can consult this dictionary online as well, here. Note that it isn't perfect yet, but I'm still working on it. Please try it, and let me know what you think.
The dictionary words are stored in a separate dictionary file. Once you've downloaded the dictionary application, you might want to visit this site occasionally, to check for new versions of the dictionary file.
