Hi.  I just downloaded all the free printable flash cards.  I've printed out and have been doing the Animal1 card pack with my 15 month old.  I know that they are supposed to be done fast, (and I've been implementing sound effects) but other than that I don't know much about them.  When do I start to add in more animals to my pile?  Or do I keep piles of 5 and switch them out routinely?  How do you introduce new words.   Is it okay to have multiple categories going on at the same time?  Like, do animal cards in the morning, and parts of the body in the afternoon?  Or should I keep it all animals until he has mastered them?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I found substituting words all the time too confusing so at this age I just showed 10 cards for about five days then changed them all out for a new set of cards. I usually showed 10 cards with a similar theme however showing sets of five cards with different themes would be fine too - trust that your little one will learn very quickly.  smile

Here is a fast flashing video:

That's really a good idea, I think to bind the book, you get it done in any book binding shop. But,the  is about what kind of book you are going to make. Take any simple theme, and start doing. All the best.
