Mario, I dont think you will face any problems as a long standing user and customer. Things would not change at all for the parents like you. The customer service is always there to help you resolve any problems would they arise and with your life-time licenses you will be able to use them for as long as you will need them. The number of consequent activations is something that customer service can re-set for you, when you will run out of your activation times, and every time I or any of the families or institutions I work with needed it, customer service was able to assist almost instantly.

Many of the users of BrillKids programs that I know, unfortunately do not have regular internet access,  so its a huge benefit to be able to use all the programs without having to be online...

Do let us know if you need help with your activation slots, or if you would face any other challenges. I am sure we will find the solutions!

Just realized that the total slots for activations is now 3 times for PC.
What about iOS and Andriod?

Hi, i'm about to purchase the little reader basic now and decided to read a little of the forum topics so stumbled upon this. Does this mean i can only ever use it with ONE computer? We want to download on hubby's Macbook to start using now, which he intends to change early next year. What happens then?

Aetchelle , the license key allows you to re-activate 2 more times. Plus , Little reader and all brillkids software operate on Windows. If you want to install it on a Mac, you will need a virtual PC program to rub the software. Parallel and boothcamp seems to work just fine.

hi, i would first thanks BK team for their nice and amazing products, my 7 month old baby Adam like the LR and LM, Actually he loves them and really enjoy the time we are using the LR and LM, I've spend moe then 250 $ for LR for two curriculum, LM and I Access,
now my computer broke down so Im using LR touch on IPAD as i don't won't to loose time waiting for Lap top reparation or to get a new one, i guess it is not useful  invest  money on getting these products and still  think about the license prob and policies as we are allowed to use it on two laptops only.

now as i can not use the lap top, any idea about LM is there another app like I- Access for little math ?

Hi Merie, I just replied to your other post, but to answer your concerns here:

In cases when you need to reformat or replace the computer where you installed your BrillKids programs, you can delete that old/unused computer from your license key activation record. After that, you can reuse your license keys to activate the programs in your new computer.

Yes, there is a limit of 2 times for removing your old computer from your activation records (for each key you own), BUT, if you reach that limit or you need help with any software or license key problem, all you need to do is write to us ([email protected]). We can reset the "remove count" for you and  help sort out these issues as soon as we can.

We don't have an app for Little Math right now, but a possible workaround is to use an app called "Splashtop Remote" - this basically lets you access and run programs in your PC through your iPad or Android tablet. However, this will only work if Little Math is installed and works fine in one of your computers. To learn more about the Splashtop Remote alternative, see: http://forum.brillkids.com/little-reader/little-reader-available-on-the-ipad-today!/ (note that this was posted back when we didn't have the Little Reader Touch app yet, but this workaround can still be used for Little Math/Musician).

thanks Kezia for replying to my post,
finally I've got the green tag on the i access, today I've started with my little boy.
the 2nd link you send it to me for the Splashtop Remote it doesnt show the instruction of this app it send me back to something else, could you please send me again the link for this app to use it for LM.

Beside what is your suggestion in teaching more than  one language, actually I've started with LR arabic curriculum daily morning for twice a day, and then evening is for LM twice evening, but I'm not sure how to introduce the english curriculum  for my baby, are you having any better WEEK PLAN for providing more than one curriculum plus LM?

Hi @Bkone17,

From what I have read here in this forum thread, you shouldn't have any problems. I think BrillKids fully understands that ordinary personal users (like you and me) may need to reinstall and reactivate the software on occasions where we are replacing our computer or needing to reformat or reset our computer. They've explained in this thread that if you have to replace your computer, then you can deactivate (perhaps unregister?) the software license from your old computer and then re-activate the software on your new computer. And, if you have to again replace that computer sometime in the future, then you can repeat the process and re-activate it again on the next new computer. The built-in limit for re-activations is two times, but they have said in this forum thread that if we run into an issue where we have to replace our computer again and we've run out of activations, then customer support can help us reset the activation count to allow us to re-activate it again. They just don't want us to abuse the system.

I think the intent is to prevent people from purchasing one license and then sharing it with many other people who really should each buy their own license of the software for their personal use. And, their shopping page for the software clearly says, "Includes ONE key for ONE PC". I think it is reasonable for BrillKids to set up their software license activation system this way to try to reduce fraud and abuse, but at the same time allow legitimate transfers from one computer to another computer for the original purchaser of the software license. It's sad that BrillKids has seen an increase in fraud and abuse lately. That not only hurts BrillKids, but it also hurts all of us who are ordinary, personal users who are trying to follow the rules. However, I think BrillKids' licensing enforcement policies and mechanisms do offer us (ordinary, personal users) enough freedom to transfer our license to a new computer when we need to (for our personal use).

I, myself, am new to this program. I have only just purchased a bundle package (less than 24 hours ago), and I'm looking forward to seeing how it can help my little one learn and grow in the coming years of his life. (He is only four months old right now.)

I will probably be facing a situation where I'll need to re-activate the software in the semi-near to semi-distant future. My personal laptop computer is starting to get a bit old, and I think I might replace it this year or next year. When that time comes, I will get to see firsthand how easy (or difficult) it will be to transfer the license.
