I personaly think, that the greates lesson form GD I have lent is: children are not idiots, they arepersons that can undertandbetter thant many adults,so don´t just put themin a corner to do " important things" get theminvolved as much as you can, I have three kids and I can carry out an adult convesation with the older one ( 3,5 years ald) and almouts adoult convestation with my mildle one (2,5) and I am sure that my one year old baby canundestand a lot of what I say and sow him. I don´t fallow the DM to the lastdont, andI was really socked withthepostentryof a mom that spoked about pinching the child to get them to cry ( never heard that), but I have lernt that the things I was seeng my fisth baby do, are things babays can do, so no problem, keep giving them info, they can dell with it!!!

Personally!!!  we can say with certainty that Glen Domman changed the quality of life of my daughter!  and now my nieces and everyone of my friends who is willing to listen and do the work it takes to help our kids achieve their potential!
Domman is for tough moms who are willing to dare the status Q of school and traditional medicine.  Blessings to the Domman family here on earth !!

Glen Doman did publish some papers long ago like 1950's.  It was a long time (2 decades?) before he was even noticed enough to denounce.
In the auditorium is a latin motto which says, i think,
agemus ergo (it is).  Patterned after descartes' i think therefore i am
Glen Doman says "we are doing it, therefore it is".

When i visited, he has a Picture of Pope shaking his hand.
Usually you have done something significant to get a picture like that.

If wikipedia would denounce him, it says more about them that him.
Other wikipedia posts i saw, such as the one for AAPS, removed my respect for Wikipedia.

If you are expecting and believing the media, you really need to do your own unbiased research about lifestyle choices. Doman is just one facet - how about vaccinations? GMO? Chem trails? Radiation? Physical exercise and to me the most important your Faith. The babies, body, mind and most importantly SOUL needs to be nourished too. This is a wonderful journey that you are embarking on but all these facets need to be embraced for a whole child approach. Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you need some facts or research on any of these topics.

I have had a long experience with the Doman method and the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential. It is effective and the Institutes credible.
The only way to make treatment work is to do the program. Only families that do the work will achieve results for their brain injured child. For Healthy Babies, results are a cinch; but again the parents have to regularly do the program; it won't teach itself. You can want your child to be able to play catch but if you don't play catch with her it ain't gonna happen.

The conventional expensive ," treatment," facilities will do anything, defame, lie, to hurt the Institutes/the Doman method; a successful worldwide program. If it didn't work it wouldn't have survived nearly 60 years. Conventional treatment is ashamed they offer nothing but a lifetime of crippled brains and bodies, and expensive drugs and surgical procedures. The Institutes method produces Brain Healed normal children and healthy children who learn easier and more quickly.  Their results causes shame and envy for incompetent neurologists, psychologists protecting their monopoly and income stream.
The Institutes cost to families is negligible and nothing to families who cannot afford to contribute.

For what it's worth, Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia, has a website devoted to teaching early reading. Www.reading bear.org.    Obviously, he believes in it.  I think Doman addressed quite thoroughly in his books the adverserial attitude mainstream medicine has toward him, and how he was too busy healing kids to worry too much about it.

I sponsored several children/ families to the Institutes with incredible success. The only failures I encountered were the cases where the parents did not choose to put in the work. My professional experience was in referring brain injured children, autism, cerebral palsy,  ADHD, mental retardation( no one is comfortable with this term anymore except mentally retarded persons.)
My personal experience was with my child who had a heart anomaly. She learned to read at 3 just fine.
I am including a recent case history of Severe Autism total recovery. Ah the conventional docs will say he never had it. Well if they brought an Egyptian mummy back to life they'd swear it was never dead.

Compared to the IFAHP, the results of other recovery programs s criminal. A waste of money.  I'm fed up with all of these turf protectors who prevent cutting edge treatment that works from getting to the people.

Sean Carves His Own
Pathway To Wellness

Sean was diagnosed as autistic and as having a “non-verbal learning disorder.” Along with these diagnoses his parents were given a frightening prognosis. When Sean was 11 years old, his parents first learned about the work of The Institutes.

When Sean was born, he was pale and had respiratory problems immediately after birth. Doctors found that his lungs were filled with fluid, and he had difficulty breathing for the first hour of life as his doctors worked to clear his lungs. He needed to be medicated at birth. He had poor muscle tone and was a colicky baby.

While the first months of his life were not easy, Sean’s condition appeared to improve, and his parents believed he was developing normally, like any other child. However, when Sean started school, he had difficulty keeping up with other children. By the fourth grade, his teacher told his parents that he was disorganized and was having difficulty with school assignments. He was also having difficulty dealing with the social aspects of the classroom. Reading and writing were very difficult for him, and he just wasn’t able to keep up.

Looking for answers for Sean, his parents attended the What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child Course. When his parent brought Sean for his first appointment to The Institutes to be evaluated, they expressed concern that he was not reading or writing at age level, his understanding was not as good as his peers, he walked and ran poorly, and he did not behave appropriately for his age. They reported that his language was not as good as that of his brother, who was two years younger.

As soon as they returned home, Sean and his parents got to work on the program outlined for Sean at The Institutes. This included a physical program of crawling and creeping, a reading program, a comprehensive nutritional program, and tactile stimulation.

Sean was motivated to carry out his program and worked hard every day.

Sean was a highly intelligent boy, but had difficulty reading because he had visual problems that made it difficult for him to use both eyes together to converge properly. This neurological problem made reading and writing very difficult. His parents were shown how to create reading materials for Sean that would allow him to read easily while the program he was doing addressed his visual problems. This allowed Sean to progress in his reading, writing, and other academic subjects.

Sean found reading much easier with homemade books created by his parents.

Sean improved intellectually and physically. He became physically excellent with his intense physical program. He started on an excellent diet of healthy, fresh food, and his health improved significantly.

Once Sean became better coordinated, physically stronger and healthier, he told his parents that he enjoyed physical activity. He began to do gymnastics as part of his home treatment program, and was soon good enough to participate in competitive gymnastics. In one of his first competitions, he ranked in the top ten out of 60 competitors in the vault event.

Sean was a finalist at a recent gymnastics competition.

The boy who used to have reading problems was now a bookworm. He was reading 75 to 100 pages daily with ease. His reading speed and comprehension were at age level. His math and writing had greatly improved as well.

He also became independent in all aspects of daily life. He was now completing his entire home treatment program independently. He planned and prepared his daily meals, did all of his own laundry, and helped care for his younger siblings. He was now 12 years old and had more responsibility and maturity than other kids his age.

Parents felt that Sean was ready to return to school at the age of 12 years. This was an important transition, to see if Sean could succeed where he once had great difficulty just keeping up with the other kids.

Since returning to school, Sean has done superb academic work. He is now in the tenth grade and scores all A’s and B’s on his exams. He has been on the Dean’s List twice. He has now become a successful competitive swimmer.

For Sean and his family, it has been an amazing journey – Sean has gone from being the boy who could not make it in school no matter how hard he tried to being the student at the top of his class today.

Sean today.
