FAQ: Karma & Positions

In our efforts to encourage quality posts from our forums, (although we are not too strict about it) we discourage one-liners that don't have much substance and do not contribute to the forum discussions.

In forum-speak, there is such a thing called "thank you posts." It doesn't literally mean that if you thank someone in a post that you won't get points from it - "thank you posts" are one liners such as a post that contains just the words "thank you" or the word "okay."

Sorry, you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 1 hours. 

Is that a way to see who I've KARMA & who KARMA me?

Ah, well that makes sense, because if making posts gives you points then putting short, choppy, one-liners would be a cheap way to build up points without truly adding anything to the discussion, and could easily clutter the forum if someone figured it out that they could be building points by doing this. Good thinking, I'm glad I knew about this, it's a good idea for keeping a high-quality forum.

I've been involved in some forums where you can see the "karma" you've been given from which threads. Is there a way to do that here?
