Hi everybody,
My 17 months old baby is driving me nuts. When teaching him , he is very excited and happy when seeing the picture (the pictures stimulate him a lot) and less, really less excited and motivated when seeing the words. What can I do? Can you help me please?

I would suggest using categories that have both pictures and words and flashing these really fast, then he wouldn't be bored because it'd be a pattern; exciting, not so exciting, exciting...etc.  He'll pick up on the words too this way Cool

Hi all

I am also facing very same problem with my child he is 19 months old . A friend suggested me to use flash cards or some videos where in alphabets and pictures representing that particular alphabets
simultaneously.And it clicked.
He is grabbing things faster.
In case any other suggestion please do let me know.

Regards
Preeti

you can read the word on funy tones or sing like a rhyme or u can ask child about the shape of the phonic. this are the methods i use to make my E interested on the sessions andnot to make her feel bore

hi there.

you could also try randomising your words and changing the order around.
you also want to make it something treasured and special.
try coveting words and show your baby how exciting it is for you.
im not sure if this is mean but try using it yourself infront of baby and as soon as baby shows an interest take it away. usually they want what they cant have.
maybe in a few days your baby will then want it more.
you also dont want to flood them with the slides and reader because then its not as special. they will probably get bored
