Yes, I agree with number dot flashcards. One more, how about body part flashcards. Meaning hands, head, hair ear etc...

lawrencelb had a body part category uploaded, but now it's gone. I'm wondering if she's re doing it?

oops - I just posted some ideas on the "how do you like the download" thread - sorry. They included furniture, appliances, and toys. 
As for body parts, I have been working on that category - I am trying to improve my initial attempt, but I still have some work to do on it.

Is it too early to start teaching them the position of the keys on the computer keyboard?  I think not! 

It could be done with a slideshow that has a picture of the entire keyboard with all but one key blurred out.  Then go to the next key.....  Maybe I'll finally learn what the "pause/break" button is for.... 

I'll bet these little geniuses will benefit from knowing this information earlier in life than my generation.  (I was already in the 7th grade when I was taught "typing" on an electronic typewriter...anybody else remember those?)   

I'd be happy to make that slideshow if anybody is willing to help me with editing.

Hello Everyone!

I would love to see some downloads on rhyming words and opposite words; maybe baby action words...clap, stand up, sit down, wave.  I also suggested that when more than one word is present it might be a good idea to separate the words by 2 spaces rather than one.  I am a K teacher and this helps my students, especially my struggling readers, when the words are more isolated to better differentiate and read them.

How about more explanations of abstract, yet everyday, concepts?  For example, prepositions, categories of time, categories of space, various types of movement (getting closer, getting farther away, going around, etc.), "sequences" (like seed germination, tides, boiling water, etc.)...let your imagination run wild.  I've always been puzzled why Doman doesn't emphasize such abstract stuff more.  These are the building blocks of intelligence--not every type of dog, flower, U.S. president, etc.

If you can make them in ppt that would be a bonus for me.  I don't have Little Reader for reasons I've explained in private e-mail.

My baby simply loves the action words, it is his favourite category. But in my opinion , they are so few! I would like more categories of babies doing things. In fact, babies like watching other babies so why don't to take advantage of it to motivate them. I also agree there should be short stories and I would also add more nursery rhymes.

Would love more stroies, poems and rhymes.  My son loves anything with a bit of a ring to it!  Hey diddle, diddle"  is just the most thing played on my stats!  It's what gets him sitting and looking and is the thing I use to refresh his interest.  Please, more of that would be just wonderful!!!
