Leny here. I'm interested to know more about the " right brain education" which you mentioned about. Could you please let me know what sort of DVD is that and where can I get it? How did you manage to speed up your son's speech? My son is 16 months old.

Thanks for the question! This thread is long but you will know it better (what to buy/ what the DVDs are about/ the reason behind it/ the best time to play the DVD to your toddler...) by reading the first few pages. Many people who commented on this thread have given a lot of useful information. I am sure you will learn a lot out of it!

As for my son's language development, apart from giving him the Tweedlewink DVD (and his vocabulary increased from 10 to 40 in a month), I don't think I did anything differently - so that's why I attributed the improvement to the DVDs. It may be different from child to child, you just have to be patient and keep on playing with him!

Hi waterdreamer!

I started Memory Magic when my older daughter was 4. She loves all 3 online games and I am glad that the CD teaches the 'silly story' method!! It is a very effective way to memorize a bunch of unrelated information in a short time.

Not sure how exactly to answer your question... hmmmm, I just showed her how to play and I then played with her together. Soon she could play on her own. If your son doesn't know how to play, play with him! It is the best way to raise his interest and to show him how to do it. For the Silly Story game, I told the story with the picture and then guided her to do the game.

My son is currently 2 years 3 months old. I do send my son to Shichida when he was 11 months old and Tweedle wink classes when he was 14 months old in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He loves these classes. Shichida classes are more intense, there are lots of activities in each lesson as compare to Tweedle wink classes where it is more relax and learn at a slower pace, maybe Tweedle wink classes has a soothing background music (Alpha wave music) that make u feel relax. The result of my son is very good, I'm impress with him. Shichida rated him above average in terms of linguistic development. He can remember each book he read in Shichida class or at home. We are recommended to read at least 5 books to him and to practice what has been taught in class to our child at home, there is a book for you to record what you've done with your child at home so that you won't missed any of the activities. At the moment my son can recall poem easily which is out of my expectation.

Hi all,

Just to share with my own baby boy experience, he is now 2 years and 2 months old.He started with YBCR,Tweedlewink DVDs etc since he was a baby. He can recognise basic colours,numbers, shapes,vehicles,animals,phonics, sign language and say them before 2 years old. He can now recognise more different type of transports and vehincles that he sees on the road, books, he can also read the words that he sees. He hasn't gone to any leanring centresjust yet(looking for one). Just at home learning on his own by watching dvds.At times when he ask for milk(am still breastfeeding) I made him say May I have some milk, pls, thank you. He will say it in full sentence, though he skip the pls, he is memorising the sentence and say it one by one. He can say let's go, and understand instructions like asking him to change the dvd, helpful, knows how to share before he was 2 yers old.I think in some way these dvds does help when the baby is able to sit and watch and focus, soemtimes even when he move around he will sit down again or standing in front of the tv and follow the words he sees..

My daughter just turned 3.  She is not interested in Brill kids program
And I have a hard time making her sitting in front of the computer.  I bought deluxe package with math as well as chinese package.

I recently came across your blog about how amazing it worked for your little ones. If I will to buy them which few series will you recommend.  I would like her to be exposed to chemistry like periodic table.
I have a budget of 100 and can't buy all of the 12 series.  I heard some DVD quality are poor.

May be the answer to my question is already there in the forum but not able to locate. Somebody please help.

My child is 1 year old. I wish to buy Tweedlewink DVD 3 set only. That is my budget. Is it ok if I could buy 10,11,12 or should I have to start from the first DVD only.

I think you should start from dvd number 1 as there are subjects like math on dvds where are dots/icons flashed in order or speed reading with shorter stories at the beggining.
But if you have done the doman or shichida math dots with your baby  then I think it is fine to use the last set.
I don't have all of the tweedlewink dvds so I can't say whether are the last dvds too advanced for a biggener.
Now I wonder myself  so I better go and check it out

My baby is 4 months and 2 weeks old. I introduced him to LR, LM and Little Music 2 weeks ago. As i want to maximize my baby's right brain, I am also considering to purchase the whole set of Tweedle Wink DVD. My concern is that, wouldnt it be too much for my baby to have LR, LM and Little Music PLUS Tweedle Wink everyday? How much is too much?

At 4 months it might be too much but you are the only one who will know. Some babies could easily cope with it and others would be overstimulated.
The tweedlewink sessions are very short. They don't take much time to show. If you spread it all out throughout the day you should be able to easily cover all of them. Tweedlewink is best played during quiet sleepy time just before bed. This will fit in well with LR and the others which babies enjoy when they are wide awake. The tweedlewink DVDs are great, they contain a ridiculous amount of information in a short space of time. Even if your baby finds it too much now in just a few months you will get your money's worth from the tweedlewink DVDs anyway. My kids still watch them now at age 4 and 6! Even my 9 year old likes the art and science bits.
