There aren't any games or anything, but I like the info on the Native Reading web site.

The frequently asked questions page is an especially good place to send someone who doesn't understand what the idea behind early reading really is:

It worked to convince my mom, anyway. She thought that a toddler learning to read was kinda weird, but after reading the web page, she's totally converted. I also think the page on preventing dyslexia is really interesting.

I wanted to re-open this thread because I think there have been some valuable sites listed here, and I have a few more to add, as I'm sure our newer members do too.

Hello,
A couple of excellent sites for Early Childhood is Priory Woods and Childcareland.(sorry not sure of the correct addresses) Priory Woods is a brilliant site with lots of music and animations. It is interactive with the user pressing a mouse or a switch to change the screen. There are also activities to drag the mouse to show numbers etc. It also has online stories.
Childcareland is a wealth of ideas and tips. It has heaps of downloads ( worksheets and fantastic colourful resources)

Love the starfall site. Apart from the fun animation. love the fact that it asks the child to say whether they like it and give them an appropriate way of communicating.
