Title: Soft Mozart Solfege 2
Post by: sonya_post on December 19, 2011, 05:01:04 AM
This file is essentially the same as Solfege 1 except that it uses notes instead of the SM graphics and goes up the scale and back down again.

Hi Sonya,

Thank you for your work.
I downloaded it and found some things, don't know if I have problems with my LR or it's general: not all the sounds can be heard. Here are the sounds that miss in the order of slides
Scale up: Middle C, D, E
Scale down: A, E, D, Middle C

Andrea

I will download it and see what the problem is. I don't have a problem on my file. If you turn the autoforward off or set it to run th eslide longer it might make a difference.

Andrea,

Go through and make sure all your picture files have checked "Play pronunciation instead."

If this is not your problem, please me let me know and we'll figure it out.

Here's how I solved it for both files:

In Edit/ Word Settings there was no pronounciation audio file so I added yours there and saved and it works! :)

Ok mine is missing some too.. But I don't understand the solution. I have found the play pronunciation and checked all the boxes.
Andrea what do you mean by "added yours to there"  what to where? I assume it's a drop and drag but... I havent played with LR files much we are still using the 1 year corriculum plus the accasional abc stuff ( which BTW I think is quite boring...will have to make my own but I am fussy! :) )
I am still using the file ATM just without the sound. Thanks for making it :)

I just reloaded the file because not everyone will be able to fix it the way Andrea did. As soon as it is approved please download again and let me know if you have problems.

Thanks,

Sonya

Hi I just downloaded the file. (is this the new one that has been approved?).
All the slides under word settings have either the pronounciation or picture audio "highlighted". The slides with sound that work on playback are the ones with pronounciation highlighted; which is basically what Andrea was saying. But I don't know how to change this... I don't know how to import that picture audio file into the pronounciation box. Hope you can help!
Thanks
Lois

I have no idea what the problem with this file has been. But it doesn't seem to upload properly. I recreated the file from scratch. I just uploaded and redownloaded it from Soft Mozart  http://www.softmozart.com/forum/15-learning-experience/536-lr-files-for-brillkids-moms.html?limit=6&start=54#1168. It is under my post - user name - Mrs.Post.  If the link takes you to the beginning of the forum subject - it is on page 10 3rd post from the top.  The post reads:

Can someone please download this and tell if this one works. I have no idea what the problem is - I finally recreated it from scratch.

File Attachment:

File Name: SoftMozartSolfege2.zip
File Size: 686 KB

- it seems to be working now. You can download it here as a zip file. Just download and open the zip file, then open the cat file and it should import just like a regular LR file does. Or wait for it to be approved from Brillkids.

Thanks,

Sonya

Thanks Ladies--

This happened to me once before with the ABC phonics file. I had to recreate it because no matter how many times I put audio files in it just wouldn't play them. I had to start over. I wonder if I am hitting a setting on accident.

Glad it works.
