I think you should. There are special programs, keyloggers. Just search such soft in internet.

In order to track my child's activity on the Internet, I use the help of the software from https://www.refog.com/free-keylogger/ it is a very useful thing for all the parens, I guess. If you have such a need, you will find it very useful for you as well.

Yes, you should always control your kids on the internet. On top of the software others have recommended I'd say limiting internet access can be helpful as well.

Tips:
* Download software
* Limit access
* check browsing history
* set a timer depending on age
* inform them on what site are allowed vs off limits
* depending on the age you should educate them on the dangers of predator's, cyberbullying, identity theft and inappropriate context
