Title: Signing time question
Post by: kmum on December 27, 2008, 07:27:14 PM
I am looking at buying some baby signing time DVD's - probably the first 3 or 4.  I notice that on their website the best deals are for the sets which include the cd's.  Does anyone find the cd's helpful & what are they like?

Also, has any one found any better deals?  I looked on ebay & Amazon, but couldn't find any sets & by the time you pay shipping, it is cheaper to buy the package from the Signing Time web site, especially with the free shipping on the package deal.

thanks in advance

I just have the DVDs. Aren't the cds just the music from the DVDs? You know that we have coupon codes for purchase with your points, right?

I have the signing time DVD's - use them in my dayhome (mostly just play the songs from the DVD).  The first volume of DVD's held the interest of my toddler group (12-19 months) - so I never ordered the baby signing time.  I use the DVD's to learn the signs myself and teach parents and helpers.  Then we just add 10 signs or so a week to our everyday activities.

The CD's are just the songs from the DVD.  Under the menu you can just play the songs.

You might want to check your library.  Sometimes you can get the staff to order the collection.  Also check with daycare centers or schools.  They might have some to borrow.

Thanks for the quick replies!  It sounds like all I need is the DVD's.

nhockaday - I do know about the coupon codes, however I just spent 10,000 points to get LR & now only have a couple hundred left.  I could probably collect a lot more if I could figure out how to create files to upload, but I can't even figure out how to make them on my own computer let alone get them uploaded - I don't think I have the right program.  I may get enough points to use for future purchase, but for now I'll have to pay in cash.  Thanks though!

puzzlemelody - I have rented them from the library, however they have to order them from another library.  It takes a week or two for them to arrive & it is only a one week rental.  It was a good way to try them, but doesn't allow for consistant use.

thanks again!
