Title: Bee Smart Baby?
Post by: acho33 on January 01, 2009, 02:16:24 AM
Has anyone tried the Bee Smart Baby DVD's, I just received them in the mail and I am not impressed.  They are actually very hard to sit thru.... Does anyone have any experience with them?  They seem to move soooo slow between words and pictures... I definately think they will be back in the mail on Friday.

I got one from the library, and you're right I thought it was to slow. I liked that it played in several languages but it just didn't keep my little guys attention. I also thought the whole video was to long, or maybe it just felt that way.

We got a Bee Smart Baby video from a consignment sale and I was not impressed at all (I don't like Baby Einstein, either).

I hear they work really well for children with autism because they move so slowly, though. My niece with autism has a couple of these videos and she happens to like them (though she doesn't repeat the words or anything).

I think Bee smart baby is poor quality compared to YBCR but it also includes sign language so they are good for children with disabilities. It does teach vocabulary but not the highest quality so they will not be very interested. I think children with disabilities are more likely to pay attention and the addition of sign language is a plus for them. The multiple languages is nice too if you want to teach different languages but not sure they will watch. Would be nice to have YBCR in multiple languages.
