Title: Reader Rabbits
Post by: Nikolett on January 20, 2009, 09:38:16 PM
Hi all
I wanted to ask everybody's opinion on Reader Rabbit games by the Learning Company. I think they are good for phonics and used them with my older kids. I found the CDs going through my stuff and revived them for the younger ones. RR1 Word Factory is what we do now...

Yes, I didn't know they were so popular. Millions of copies?
Anyway, what do you think?

The reading ones specialize on phonics. My CDs are old and don't work well with new PC.

I actually like Reader Rabbit, but we haven't started my son on computer or video games yet--we want him to play with blocks for as long as possible!!

They're cute and they do reinforce skills....but I'm not sure they teach new ones!
