How to use the Icon Set Settings

You may select which Icon Set to use during your Little Math presentations by editing your Preset Settings.  In the Preset Settings (see attachment) you may select the Icon Set to use for your presentation, as well as a few other nifty features!  Here's a quick run-down:

   •  Specific Icon Set - By selecting, for example, Basic Shapes or Fruits, your presentation will be restricted to display only that Icon Set.

   •  Random (each slide) - This option enables Little Math to randomly select a different Icon Set each time you advance forward during a presentation!

   •  Random (each playback) - This option keeps the Icon Set consistent for the entire presentation, but each time you choose to play the Preset it will randomly pick a different Icon Set.

Once you have selected your Icon Set, you may also choose from a similar range of options, to customise exactly which Icon you want to show. By making use of these features you can re-use the same lesson content while keeping it fresh and interesting for your child!

Hi Shuki and all you other brilliant people out there!

First let me confess that I know how to type but very little else in regards to computer "stuff".  So, if this is a dumb question at least you're somewhat prepared for it. :)

Here's the story: My son strongly dislikes LM.  He started out okay but it's like pulling teeth.  (We've left it for about 4 months - trying it intermittently to no avail.)  Changing icons to his face or other familiar items will not work as he just says "planes" or "baby" or whatever other icon has been programmed in.  Quantity is lost on him.  I'm wondering if simple red dots will be better for him.

This is where you come in.  I've found my way into where you change the icons and successfully changed a quantity lesson to red dots.  However, I simply cannot find how to change the entire semester's icons to red dots.  Is this possible without having to go in to each day's lessons and change them individually?

Hahaha  lol  Well we're not magicians, kizudo, but what I can tell you is that, just like with Little Reader, we're soon to release version 1.6 of Little Math, which will come with an OVERRIDE feature!  It'll let you specify red dots (or any other playback setting) and override any preset settings, so that should be just the thing you're looking for.

Hi Shuki,

So...are we talking within the year?  Within the next 6 months?  I don't want to loose too much time waiting, but I also don't want to bust my behind manually changing each lesson if it's coming out next week.  I won't hold you to it, but can you share an estimated time as to when we can anticipate it?

Optimistically I'll say we're hoping to get it out next month.  But it might be later (or sooner!) than that, it's always tricky to nail down release dates. ;)
