Title: Little Reader for a 4 year old? Post by: waterdreamer on September 26, 2009, 01:43:13 AM Now that there is payment options I'm thining of getting LR lifetime. I just wanted to ask some parents out there if they honestly think its worth it for someone my sons age. He's 4 years old, he learns very well with index card size flash cards. He loves powerpoint presentations but doesn't seem to learn as much, but enjoys the PP much more then paper flash cards(not that he dislikes the paper ones)

Title: Re: Little Reader for a 4 year old? Post by: waterdreamer on September 28, 2009, 01:21:44 AM I guess what I'm really wondering is, is this something that he will still be able to use long term? Its hard to commit that kind of money when I'm not sure how long he will us it for.

:) Title: Re: Little Reader for a 4 year old? Post by: nhockaday on September 28, 2009, 02:23:16 AM I'm planning on using it for a long time. You can make and play sentences and stories. Then you can even use it for spelling practice later. Plus I think it would be fun for them to make their own files once they get older. I think my son is going to be a little geek in a couple of years. He loves the computer.
