Title: Course lessons Post by: Aude on October 11, 2010, 10:53:00 PM [i]Hello!!!!
I am new with LM and LR. I started with Doman method some months ago with my child (she is now 17 months). She began bored with flashcards and I have decided to use the computer more often. I want to create my own course lessons (we speak four languages at home) and I want to settle my own course with those languages ( for LM and LR). Do you know how to do it? it is possible to create your own semester with different course lessons? thanks for your answers, Regards, Aude. hola!! Title: Re: Course lessons Post by: lhdvm00 on October 11, 2010, 11:20:24 PM Hola!
I really hope someone will answer this question....I need help integrating languages and other lessons as well. I'm sure the answer is here on the boards or in the tutorials. I also want to use LR/LM to the maximum potential! Can someone design their own "courses" or do you just have to remember what to play on categories or do you make a playlist? Title: Re: Course lessons Post by: Kezia on October 12, 2010, 04:35:57 AM Hi Aude and lhdvm00,
I've replied to a similar question before, so I'll re-post my answer here for you: Quote Unfortunately, the current LM Import function does not have advanced options (as in the LR Import function) which you can use to make duplicates or copies of your Numbers/Math Presets. Kindly note that for Courses (with the "Day 001+" lessons), importing these as copies of the original English course is not possible (because this particular feature is specifically locked for Courses) -- this applies to both LR and LM. What you can do, though, is to create (or download) Sound and Word sets in your preferred languages and then change the Display settings for particular Course or Preset lessons (e.g., set the Sound and Word set to be used for today's lesson to the French version). If you want to do this for all your Courses and Presets, just use the Override function. This way you can globally switch all your lessons to play a specific language whenever you want! In case you need detailed instructions on how to do this, kindly refer to the LM Help Manual (click on the HELP button in LM). You may also access the manual by going to this page: http://support.brillkids.com/little-math-manual.php (http://support.brillkids.com/little-math-manual.php).
** You can find the original post here: http://forum.brillkids.com/little-math/can-we-download-sound-sets-in-the-trial-version/msg46996/#msg46996 (http://forum.brillkids.com/little-math/can-we-download-sound-sets-in-the-trial-version/msg46996/#msg46996) About doing this in LR, kindly see this post: http://forum.brillkids.com/little-reader/with-the-new-version-2-of-lr-can-i-translate-the-whole-lr-curriculum-when-i-h/msg59495/#msg59495 (http://forum.brillkids.com/little-reader/with-the-new-version-2-of-lr-can-i-translate-the-whole-lr-curriculum-when-i-h/msg59495/#msg59495) Note that you can translate LR Categories, but in the current version of LR you can't "build" your translated "Course" or curriculum yet. We are working to do this kind of feature, but we are not sure if this can be done in time for LR 2.0. In the meantime, you can use Playlists to work like the default English curriculum, as some members have been doing. I hope this helps! :) Title: Re: Course lessons Post by: lhdvm00 on October 12, 2010, 04:40:15 AM Thanks so much! I'll give it a try......
