We all know that Little Math is so great for teaching babies math.
But even more -
it is sooo great for
teaching READING using Glenn Doman's methods because
retiring "cards" is so easy, fast and effortless.
I was thinking if I could use this GREAT and EFFECTIVE way of retiring words for teaching reading, too (I still miss this feature of retiring words using Little Reader -I know it is planned for the future versions).
And I found out that LM is even great for teaching babies to read according to Doman's method. I just "create" word sets of words recommended by Doman instead of number sets (it is so much easier to create "Flash words only" than using Litte Reader - I just type them in instead of names of the numbers) and I just flash them to my daughter AND retire every day "the oldest words" so easily simply by choosing which "numbers" to play (I increase numbers to play in the preset). It is so great!!!!!!!!
The only thing that is not perfect is that I choose to play these word flash categories without sounds and read them aloud for my daughter. Since they are without sounds they play TOOO fast if I choose Auto forward option with the highest speed. I would love if it was possible to save "auto forward with chosen speed of the preset" because I would love to play regular math categories (with sounds) with the highest speed and this "reading" categories with the bit slower spead (so I could read them).
KL, is it possible? I know that Little math is not intended for this kind of teaching but it is so great and so efective for teaching ALSO reading
using Doman's method that I had to ask.....
