i downloaded the new final version of LM bu when i try o open the lesson content in LM i get a message error occurred . can you help please

I have started to test it w/my son but had to interrupt.Now , downloaded the new test version but cant start it at all, neither the wiping out file cannot be opened.Maybe I did something wrong..

Can you just uninstall everything (delete db and media library when asked), and try it again?  If there are still problems, please let us know which stage you got up to, what did you see, and send in a diagnostic report (if you can't start LMs, then do this from Start - All Programs - BrillKids - Little Musician - Diagnostic.)

i do have a suggestion for the music apreciation section , although my kids have no problem with it , they twirl and dance or try to be the conductor , why leaving the screen blank and not display a photo of the composer instead

But I agree with Bella, it is pitty to leave the screen blank - how about a video shot of the playing orchestra with a real conductor conducting the piece we are listening to ?  We could see the instruments "in action" and imitate the conductor :-)

Can you be more specific. Need to know exactly what you are seeing. And please create diagnostic report (see above).

I just installed LMs onto a second computer - my desktop which is Vista and is usually more reliable than the laptop that I also use.  It all seemed to load up fine but when playing the lesson then it crashed twice saying an unexpected error has occurred and that LMs would have to be restarted.  I clicked to send an error report both times so I hope this has arrived.  I don't think I did anything differently when loading onto the desktop so not quite sure why this happened, but I hope this helps with your programming and looking for bugs.

Is it reproducible or random? Is it crashing at the second Chord Recognition lesson?

I've read an earlier reply by Kezia about downloading LMs successfully..

I am STILL (after several weeks) having problems downloading Semester 1 and 2.

We normally use Internet Explorer, but since that brought us to a naming error demaning a passpord, we tried downloading through Google Chrome instead. In Chrome, we started from Step 4, then encounted and error. So we tried again from Step 3, and encounted and error again.

Please help.

P.S..

This is probably just a preference thing, but I'll mention my suggestion anyway..

I would much rather see our clapping Brill KIDS mascots to be fully clothed, and not in diapers. (This is for LR and LMs.) Even babies have their diapers most often covered, and some are even potty trained at a very young age. When my daughter (3.5years, potty trained at 9mo) sees the diapered girl or boy in LR or LMs, she makes a sort of disgusted face, and I wonder what older kids who'll be using the programs will think when encouraged to copy the diapered baby. My daughter, thankfully, enjoys LR and LMs so much that the look doesn't stop her from participating. I just think there's less risk for participation withdrawl without the visible diaper.

(And for future LR upgrades, I would recommend the voices to say something other than "Where's your crib?"  etc., for the 'Baby Things' section, as there are older children also using LR--especially now with the Early Education for Every Children Foundation.)

Hopefully you'll find these suggestions constructive and supportive, as there is no question that we DO LOVE BrillKids products and everything you do!

It crashes each time when starting the note sounds section, but then when restarting LMs we are able to play this without problems, but it then crashes again on the chord recognition section.  I was not able to access the support / diagnostics via LMs itself (screen froze) but I was able to generate a diagnostic report by going via start > brillkids > LMs > diagnostics
I will email the zip file that has been generated to the support email address.
In the meantime, I will try uninstalling completely and installing again.  Strangely, the install this time (via google chrome) was so much smoother and easier than installing on the laptop - no hitches, everything loaded up fine, so it seems odd to have more of a problem here.

ok finally got it to work . how ?? old computer trick hihi , when nothing work , delete all and restart , and this is what i did , i deleted my previous little musician , reinstalled to new version , and we are back to enjoy the lessons . although i know somebody is going to be heartbroken , really unfair o allow us access to such beautiful program , kids reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllly having great time with it than stop because we might not be able to afford it    still no idea how much it will cost . kl very smart to get us hooked first

Anyway, I seem to be having a recurring problem - the program crashes and restarts almost everytime when we get to the second chord recognition. But after restarting and continuing on from there, there is no problem. I have sent in diagnostic reports whenever I encounter the problem but now I'm wondering if there's a problem with my computer or my settings...?

Thanks for a great product. My 2 year old twins are really enjoying this! Even if I forget, they will remind me to do the "Musician"

Just one suggestion - could we have some graphics - even just a pic (something visual) during Music Appreciation. If theres something visual, the kids will like it even better.

Same problem here, it worked ok at the beginning but crashes more frequently from lesson no. 35 onwards. Am sending in reports too. Cheers

Are you still having this problem?

If so, what error are you encountering exactly? We need to know what you did and what you saw, in as much detail as possible.

One thing to try is to uninstall the software completely (choose to delete database and media library when asked) and start from the top, and making sure you're using the LATEST BUILD.

This point has already been addressed. Again - wait to see the new RESOURCES section and let's talk again then.
In addition, use that time to try to guess the instruments with your child, or pretend to be a conductor and move (even dance) to the music.

I am trying to  reinstall little musician upgraded beta version in my second laptop running in Win 7.But not able to import semester content successfully.I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall again and again but nothing is successful.
