I started learning classical piano when I was 6. I took lessons for 6 years and stopped when my piano teacher hit my hand and said that I could never be a piano player because I had no talent. I self taught myself since then and continued to play the piano because I love it. When I moved out of the country at the age of 15, I considered taking lessons again. My teacher asked me to take the Trinity College London music exams just to see where I was at and I passed Grade 5. I continued taking lessons until I finished High School. I sang in the School Choir, Chamber Choir, and Church Choir for 14 years.

I can read notes and sight read for both singing and playing the piano. My husband is a guitarist. He started with formal lessons when he was young for several years and self taught himself for 10 years before taking lessons again in order to play jazz guitar. Our 18-month old seems to have musical "bones" as he just could not help himself from dancing whenever he hears the music playing. He started singing the theme song for "Between the Lions" in key last week. We are looking for a non-classical music program for him to nurture his love for music. I can relate with KL's experience with not being able to play my piano unless I have memorized the pieces. What a gift Little Musician can be for our son if he can rely on his own voice, gain his own self confidence and use both of these as references when playing any music instrument.

We have both LR and LM for our son and he loves them both.

I played the flute and sang in choir.  My husband is a musician.  He plays piano, keyboards, drums, guitar, accordion, and mandolin.  He started on the accordion at age 6, and has been playing for over 30 years.  He has 25 years of experience playing piano and keyboards.  He's played for bands, and choirs, and worship teams for different churches.  He writes songs and has an album out with a hit single.  He is currently working with our daughter, teaching her piano, notes, and giving her voice lessons.  They are actually working on a song for his new album.  My husband is also starting our baby (son) with music lessons. 

I'm thrilled that you have the little musician.

Hi,

My mother plays piano and sings very well, and she is conductor of choir, so I grew up in a musical environment. I study, since my 5 years, piano and singing too. I prefer play than using score. My husband plays guitar and flute by ear, and our son loves to see us play.
We started creating our own program to teach our son how to play instruments. We have made some movies showing the notes in the score, sound and correct position on the piano, after this phase, we began with the scales.
We live in Brazil, and would be very happy to participate in this test, we have taught our son English as a second language through the Little Reader / Little Math and it's amazing how he can speak and understands more English than Portuguese.
I'm sorry about my English.

Hi! if it not too late - we would like to join and test with my daughter! I played piano in musical school for 12 years, and I had all musical subjects, as it should i n normal music school. Now we try to learn music and play piano with my daughter, and her favorite note is fa ( she calls it baa) and she always shows it whenever she sees it:)

I've been playing the flute for 23 years and I'd love my two children to play the instruments they will choose. So far they do both Kindermusic and have a lot of fun.
I'm expecting LMs to teach them the love of music, to make them feel comfortable with the notes and to show them this great way to express theirs feelings.

Qualification - A-levels (Music), Licentiate of Trinity College of London (piano)

My family and I love music a lot. That's why, I always play music for my baby Eliza. She likes listening as her father plays the piano and as I sing children songs for her. As parents, we are very keen in choosing right songs for our baby's sake. I hope to join the beta testing too.

hi, I have 8 years of experience in music, I can read notes and I also play the guitar and sing, I first learned to play the guitar by ear, but then I learned the notes, I also have some basic knowledge on piano and violin. I have tried teaching music to my 11 months old baby, who loves the harmonic and the guitar, as well as the drums. I'd love to participate in this beta testing. I would love to participate in the LM testing! I have been learning music my entire life and my family is very musically inclined as is my husband. Between the two of us (we are both teaching our daughters now) we play Violin, Piano, Guitar, Organ, and Harmonica! We want a program that will teach our children the concept of music, and music theory so they have a strong launching point for a love of music though out their lives! We use BrillKid to do reading and math at the moment, we also have downloaded tons of extras such as sign language practice and more! I hope to be uploading the first of over a dozen lesson plans we have created on our brillkid program to help with school work and education in our home.

We can both read music and have had more than 10 years experience in music. I play piano and organ in church and violin for fun. My husband plays open mic guitar at a local club, has played in the high school band (years ago) and, has played for the Air Force Honor Guard.

Musical background - Played instruments since I was 3 years old. Starting with piano for 10 years, then violin for now 20 years (play in the symphony). I also have sung in many choirs. Can also play guitar, cello, viola. I can read multiple clefs.

Can't wait to start formally teaching my daughter! She already loves piano and guitar. Thanks!

Hi,

I have a musical background in piano and I am able to read music.

I have been playing music to my baby since she was in moms belly. And since she was born have been using tuning forks to stimulate perfect pitch and note recognition and she loves it. I have also been playing with my baby to recognize different beats and different instruments…. Just playing and having fun.

I have LR and LM and she loves the programs. I have been waiting for the release of Little Music for so long …….that’s why I am very excited to know that LM will be launching soon and that I can  be included for  the beta test.
