Hi

I am trying to create a 'US state maps' category. Each map occupies around 90% of the image. The rest of the image has a white background. When I play the category, LR seems to add a default black background around the image to fill the screen. Is there any way of setting the default background on images?

Please see attached screenshot for a better idea.

Thank you
Lucky.

Hi Lucky,

Currently Little Reader does not have this function, but one solution would be to create an image the size of your computer's resolution (i.e. an image the size of your full screen) in the colour you want, and pasting the state map onto it to ensure it will cover the full screen.  See the attachment I created as an example.

Hope that helps! smile

Cheers,
shuki

Hi Shuki

Thank you for the reply and solution!

I guess it would be nice if this feature could be included in the next version! It would save content-makers a LOT of time and effort!

It would also be of great help if the next version of LR supported import/export of multiple cat and pl files.

Perhaps you could add these to your 'future improvements' list?

Many Thanks to the the entire brillkids team! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!  yes
Lucky.

This feature has been around a long long time ago. Simply use Ctrl and or Shift keys as you highlight the items you want to export, and it will export as one file.  When you import this single file, you will see all of them again.  The .cat files in the LR curriculum each have many Categories in them, for example.

Hi

I have a whole bunch of .cat files that I want to import stored in a folder on my desktop. Is there anyway I can import all of them in one go?

Thank you
Lucky.

You can try. Not sure how stable it will be though.

First, select all the items you want to import (by using your Ctrl and/or Shift keys).  After selecting everything, right click on the selection and choose Open.

KL, I tried your suggestion and found that I was able to import two categories at a time, not more than that. If I did select more than two, only two would get imported and the rest I had to import manually.

Anyway, it took a little time, but I imported all of them manually. Once LR is open, selecting the required .cat or .pl file and clicking open imports it straight into LR which is great! I found this to be a lot easier than importing the files from within LR which is what I was doing earlier.

So thank you for your suggestion!

Lucky.
