Thanks, all, for your kind words!
Leana - there is a slight glitch with the green circles (completion markers) in that sometimes it will only change its status after you click away from it. (it's a marker refresh problem).
And yes, as 2010bebes pointed out, there is a 14-day free trial.

So, with curriculum the way it is, will 4.5 months be a good age to start it? What do you think?
Do you think it will be also good to reinforce the words the baby learns through the LR, with simple flashcards? Similar to how it is done with YBCR?

Four and a half months is a good time to start - after all, we recommend our learning system to be used to teach children 4months and onwards.
And of course, you may choose to reinforce your LR lessons with simple flash cards!
This will help create more diverse activities for your child to help retain the lesson information.
You can also choose to play games which make use of "labeling" - for example, label your house plant, your couch, your chair, or even stick a label on your shirt. When your child sees the object or person, you can point to the label and read the word out loud!

I started using it today on my 3 mth old baby. She seems to love it.
She looks at it because it has sounds.
But of course attention span is still very short so I can't finish 1 session straight out.
Once she looks uncomfortable I stop and continue another time.

Hi
I would first like to congratulate the Brill Team on the success of the latest release of LR. It is a truly wonderful product and a great help to those of us that are really keen to give our kids the best start possible!
I have a seven month old baby girl with a very short attention span. I have not followed any particular curriculum thus far. I have a question about LR's learning system and the best way to go through it:
On a given day, in a
single
sitting, am I supposed to show her all the Session 1 lessons? Or can I show her Session1-A, Session1-B and Session1-C (and Session2-A, ...) at different sittings (as long as the sittings are 1/2 hr apart)? So if I cover both Sessions 1 and 2 in a single day, I will effectively have done 6 sittings. I am asking because a single Session seems to have way too much information to show in 1 go. I wonder if shorter lessons will be better and more fun for my little one?
Thank you
Lucky.

Lucky,
It's COMPLETELY up to you. Remember, what we've set out is just a guide. Use it as you see fit. Every child is different, and they are also different at different ages. Some will think one session is too short, some may find it too long. In your case, if it's too long, then by all means break up the lessons into different sittings.
Always remember this - and it's true for probably all things about early learning - there are NO hard and fast rules! Don't be enslaved by them! Do what you feel is best!
Happy teaching!

You should first read this:
http://forum.brillkids.com/little-reader/important-notice-for-little-reader-118-users-(read-before-upgrading!)/
Then go to your Account Management and download the latest version, plus the content packs in Step 3.

Hi,
With regards to the course tab function mentioned (see below), how do I insert courses in? I click on the display function, but nothing comes out of it.
Pls advise.
Thanks, Flora.
"The Courses tab
We've added something new to your Home Play Panel and the Playback Screen - the Courses Tab. Through this, you can begin teaching your child using our recommended BrillKids curriculum. We've already divided each entry into lessons for each day, so you'll never have to worry about being lost when it comes to teaching your child to read.
• Completion markers
These little green markers are handy for figuring out which lessons you've already played:
o Full green circle - The lesson has not been played
o Half green circle - The lesson playback is incomplete
o No green circle - The lesson is completed
• Next Lesson button
Whenever you finish one category within a Little Reader course session, you will be prompted whether or not you'd like to continue on to the next lesson."

If you are upgrading from 1.2.118, then the first time you run 1.5.xxx, you should get a message asking you to download and install the Starter Pack. Did you not get the message?
If not, can you click on Help menu drop-down and "Check for Course Updates".
