They own the website so it's expected that they filter the testimonials. It's better to read reviews over independent sites like Buzzillions, ePinions, and Amazon. Yes, please post the measurable things you notice when using BabyPlus  smile

Hi,

From the moment our baby was born:

  1. eyes are wide open, can lift her head and look around
  2. can recognize familiar voices (My husband and I)
  3. latched on immediately
  4. holds 2 oz bottle by day 2, 4 oz bottle by 1 month, 6 0z bottle by 3 months (start to end of feeding time)
  5. very patient and calm
  6. slept through the night by 2 months
  7. rolls from back to front by 8 weeks

She just turned 4 months so this is all I can write by now. I hope this helps...

Yes thanks... holding the bottle is very surprising.  My 9 month old cant do this yet until it's two thirds empty  none of them (i have 4) could...they're all bright and advanced, slept through the night in a couple of weeks (once started bottle feeding), but never used Babyplus.

Good to know you have an alert and healthy baby! smile But can you solely credit all of these to the use of Babyplus? I myself, wanted the system to work (w/o side-effects). But I can't shake the feeling of 'disturbing' my unborn's natural sleeping pattern. Some traits like recognizing familiar voices, holding the head up and looking around are expected of newborn. I really wish there's some measurable effects of Babyplus 'cause we have spent good money on it  Wink

i'll try my best to have it on my second pregnancy.  it will be easy for me to see the difference because i'm with my daughter 24/7.

That's very hard to say for sure. Some people swear by it, and others aren't sure if they see any effects.

Yes, I'm very glad to hear your experience!  I am currently using it.  My  husband thinks its a trick, but it can't hurt.

As far as cost, in case you don't find another for loan.  Here is how wer are saving on one.   We bought ours on E-bay and saved at least $50.  I will resell it right after the birth and expect that I will about break even on it, as they seem in high demand.  This could be cost effective for anyone wanting one.  Of course, if we concieve again, we'll have to rebuy.

Thank you
Jennifer

I used BabyPlus with my son, but I wasn't able to finish it since he had to be taken 6 weeks premature.

He did fairly well for a 6 week preemie--they told us that he would probably be in NICU for 6 weeks and he was only in 2 (1/3 of the time we were dreading him spending there). After he got out of NICU, he developed so quickly, rolling over at 8 weeks and generally making great progress...I, personally, think BabyPlus helped and I would use it again.

Hi everybody

For all the pregnant people in the forum: we have a brand new Prenatal Education section on BrillBaby! Check it out here: http://www.brillbaby.com/prenatal-education/fetal-development.php

There are four new articles, including Prenatal Milestones (how your baby's senses gradually come to life), the Womb Environment (how to optimize it), and Stimulating the Senses - which tells you how you can stimulate your unborn baby.

Re. BabyPlus, it should now be much clearer from the Brent Logan article what the lessons consist of as well as how the system is supposed to work.

From my personal experience, I honestly can't say whether it worked because I have nothing to compare with. Of course if you have several children, and the only child you used BabyPlus with is noticeably different, then I can understand your being a believer.

My daughter Naimah was unusually alert after she was born though. She was very aware of everything around her and the pediatrician remarked on it right away. He said something like, "Wow, those extra 10 days really make a difference!" Because you see, Nim was 10 days late. She was not only more aware, she was much bigger than the other babies (the biggest in the hospital at the time). She seemed much less fragile and newborn than the others. Her eyes were wide open and her cry was as loud as a foghorn. laugh The other babies had screwed-up faces and mewed like tiny kittens.

Anyway, I hope the pregnant ladies enjoy the new prenatal section! I would love to hear your feedback too. smile

I am using Babyplus this time around, and I find it quite annoying.  I'm bored by it... if I were the baby I'd be wanting something more exciting to listen to than that.  And my friends say the same thing when they visit when I've got the monitor going. I'll try to find an old walkman, pop it in the pouch and play music cassettes.

You know, you only are supposed to play it for a short time every day. By all means, play some music too! I did! I played music every night when I went to bed, plus I read stories.
