"Phone Pod" Portable Smart Phone Mount for Stroller/ Shopping Cart/ Etc.

I just bought one of these this evening. There are times when I choose to let my kids use my iphone and it's such a risk. I couldn't get a babysitter for my son today and had to bring him along to one of my daughter's lessons, so I brought along snacks and the iphone to keep him occupied and quiet in the stroller. Well, my phone ended up getting dropped (not very far) and the fall shattered off the corner of the protective case. Mind you, I have dropped it myself on enough occasions that the integrity might have already been compromised. So, I ran over to Babies R Us and broke down to buy one of these. Overall, it's a smart little tool. My son can get it out if he really wanted to, but it definitely prevents the accidental drops and it rotates vertical/horizontal. I don't think it's something I'll use constantly, but I will certainly keep it in my bag to be prepared when the need arises.

You can't even KNOW how much simpler and safer you just made my life by sharing this!
There are times when my squirming toddler must ride in my lap while my hands are occupied with wheeling the wheelchair.  I can sometimes give her my phone, especially when I need to make sure her little hands are not anywhere near the spokes of the wheels
She has dropped my phone in almost every grocery store checkout in this town
Just bought this today and it actually attaches to the arm bar, rotating so she can see it and I can keep both the phone and her safer.

Brilliant! Genious! I have dropped an iphone...expensive! Same thing as you TMT, cracked the corner off the case, but unfortunately it also hit the screen on the second bounce
But I bet you both get some comments from do goody parents about introducing kids to technology to young...be ready with a suitable clever remark..
" yes mam, my baby is looking for a pen pal to practice her typing, would you like to share your email address?"
Or maybe " oh goodness no that is her phone..of course I wouldn't let her use mine!"

Kerileanne- That is awesome! I am so glad that it helps you out.

Manda- I know what you mean, I felt a bit self conscious but then thought to myself, you know what? screw it! This is best for me and my kid at the moment, so this is what we will do. I had to keep him up past his bedtime while my daughter was at a class on Saturday evening. I had no sitter and couldn't leave him home alone, my other option was to recognize he was bored, tired, and needed to go to bed, and leave him on his own to melt down in the stroller lest I not "be judged." I did overhear someone say "That is such a god idea!" LOL but I am sure there were others thought otherwise. It's a good thing what they think of me is not my business.    While I was killing time during class wandering around the store he was flipping through some math, Japanese, and Russian apps to occupy himself. The downside is that when I give up my phone,  I don't know what time it is and can't call anyone or look anything up. Oh well.

Re: the cracked screen...that's exactly why I broke down and got it, I know all too well the expense of fixing an ithing. In our case, the first time it was the kids cracked the ipad, the second time it was me who did it. I'm not sure if we'll get another or 2 ipod touches....and another cart mount. HAHA. I heard rumors they are supposed to be coming out with something in between an ipad and an ipod touch in regards to size, and that would really be ideal. I could be waiting around forever though.

Yes in between is a good size, we have a knock off 7 inch it's gat but so limited by it's crap quality
My broken screen I actually ended up getting replaced for nothing! I went strait to the apple store, told them honestly that I dropped it and the case and screen didn't survive my clumsiness. I mentioned that I drop it quite regularly and they fixed it on the spot for nothing! Amazing!
I give my son the iPad all the time when we are out. He spends quite a bit of time waiting for his sisters, and so often ( at least twice a week!) I have other mums come and ask me for advice on which iPad to buy, how they work, are they worth the money, can I have a turn.... I use the opportunity to show them all the cool educational games we have on ours. 
We drop it quite often, we have just replaced a cover that didn't survive the last dropping. Well it survived but wasnt secure any more. Love this type of case!
We have a similar one that has seriously withstood all manner of torture from Alex and neighbor toddlers. It has been banged, shoved, dropped, even thrown by a rambunctious cousin-it bounced!
They come in gorgeous colors and have a really nice stand that works well.  We have even washed the case in the dishwasher when it got a bit grubby---where I noticed tiny bite marks from an exploring child
