This was a really fun project and as usual the whole family was involved.  You can see my youngest two in the song, Olivia is the host, my older girls are the puppeteers and my 4 older girls sing the song.

So....after a long, long wait (Thank you Canada Post for striking right after the package was sent    ) we have recieved our Monki See Action Words DVD! 

I sent it along with my son yesterday when he went for an extended visit at his Grammy & Papa's  (truth - it was sent as a "gift" to them so that they could catch their breath!)  Anyway, both Grammy and my son were THRILLED with it (Papa used this time to escape outside)!  Apparently, there was much, much laughter, dancing, and movement.  Not having seen the DVD yet myself, it was a bit hard to make out their thoughts exactly because as they were describing their experience (mom is 65 and son is 3) they were both laughing away.  It was like they had a secret joke between them because as soon as Grammy said something about the content, my son started giggling and wiggling.  I'm glad they had this experience together and I'm really looking forward to seeing it myself!

My son loves the new MonkiSee Actions DVD.  It is so cute to see him doing his baby dance during the songs.  When he was about three months old he used to hold his hand up in the air and stare at it for 20 to 30 mins at a time.  Now since he has seen this dvd a couple times he has started staring at his hands again while opening and closing them and using his other hand to explore by touch.  He is also staring and touching his arms and toes.

So...after a long, long wait, I was able to watch the Actions DVD with my son today.  We've recently moved and until just this weekend had only a teeny tiny tv set up in the dark recesses of our basement - too many boxes everywhere else!  Anyway, I wanted him to watch it and get into the habit of doing the actions with the dvd - I didn't want him to see it repeatedly in a space that didn't allow for movement. 

So...long story short...it is hilarious.  At least my three year old thinks so.  When he wasn't up doing the actions he was laughing.  I started making a list of all the things he thought was funny to email to Krista but we only watched the first 15 minutes of it and there were at least five times that he almost fell off his seat.  I love it, too.  Olivia did a great job hosting and, well, Skip & Howie are pretty special around our house.  Looking forward to watching the last half soon.

My son and I watched this DVD again today and I was reflecting on how long we've had it - come July it will be a full year since I wrote a mini-review.  Listening to my son today you would have thought that it was his first (or one of his first times) watching it.  He was giggling and giggling - almost non-stop.  It was so much fun for me to be in the kitchen preparing our lunch and hearing his little voice laughing.  Often when he watches DVDs he'll call me in to see what is so amazing, today he was too busy, being caught up in the moment.  He just loves Monki See!  And even after a year, it hasn't lost it's lustre!  Thanks, Krista!

Hey Kizudo,

Thanks for the update.  That is just a precious moment.  I love when my kids thoroughly enjoy clean entertainment.  If only we can bottle the moment and their laughter.

I am thrilled to hear he enjoys MonkiSee.  I received an update along with a video from my sister.  Her baby, 8 months old, loves the Action Words DVD.  If she is in another room when the We Run song comes on she rushes to get there in her walker.  If she is there she practically jumps out of the walker with excitement.  So cute.  It is wonderful to hear that kids are enjoying our work because we sure do have fun making the videos.

We just received a big box of puppets yesterday for our next video!  I will post here when we know exactly what we are looking for.  We would love for B to be part of the next video as well as any other members of this forum.
