I know the original poster started this thread a while ago, but in wink to learn users advise to get wink to learn spanish, (french or english)?  I followed their company years ago eagerly awaiting their Chinese release, but then people said that it is not standard dialect.  I didn't want to confuse my (still future!) little one so never bought it.  Then later they came out with other languages and did use native speakers.  There really is nothing else like it on the market.  Even Little Pim seems all over the place.  It doesn't start with single words, then phrases, then sentences.  I am especially keen to use the spanish version of wink to learn since there is no little reader spanish.

Mindy, thanks for the software name.  I am looking for easy!   But I will certainly check out adobe aftereffects. Your videos are simply gorgeous.  I wouldn't even need that much, just simple captions...that I could make large, and highlight word by word or appear on screen word by word.

Mindy, I just watched your farm video and can't wait to show it to my daughter.  May I ask what program you used t make the videos?  I want to make some of my own with large print that either highlights as the word is said or prints out as the word is said ( or even a big arrow like YBCR).  Just anything other than a block of text with no way to tell what word is being said.

Wow! Your 3 year old will listen to stories of this length?  My baby is 16 months and will wiggle to get away if I even pause to take a breath (with a 5 page board book)!  Please share. How and when did you first introduce audio books?

That is the cutest thing ever! I love how she uses her doll's hand to point under the words.  She is delighted teaching her little doll.  Thanks for the video!  I will be sure the keep this idea for when my baby is older.

Is is worth getting Little Math for 14 month old baby?  Or is it a bit late?  She loved looking at the cards when she was very young.  But I just couldn't keep up so she hasn't seen them since she was (I'm not sure) 6 mos, maybe.  I recently pulled them out but she does not smile  at the sight of them, and instead would rather roll over and crawl away (she is not walking yet).
I know that many older babies dislike the dots or the dot concept (be it trains, or happy faces, etc).  Since money is tight at the moment (in and out the hospital with the baby all last month) I was wondering if it is even worth bringing the subject up with my husband. He'll likely flip out at my request for yet more "materials".  Wow, this EL teaching stuff can get expensive quickly!
So what do you guys think?  Did your little ones take to LM?  Did they learn math?  Should I just save up and wait for RightStart or Marshmallow Math?                       

I was looking at it some more and the only footage that changes is the character of the day.  And someitmes the footage of children in China, but even that is the same for several episodes.  The whole thing can be condensed to one episode.  So not the Mandarin language goldmine I'd hope it would be.

Just found Fun Fun Elmo, an educational program geared toward teaching young children mandarin.  There are currently 13 episodes with plans for more in the future.

I don't know if others have seen this, but there is a program called "Fun Fun Elmo"  on youtube.  It is an educational program designed to teach children the basics of the Mandarin language. Kind of like Sesame English but with the reverse goal.  I was thrilled to find it, but since I don't actually speak Mandarin I don't know if it is good or not.   Anyone have any input?

Oh so it IS just mine.  Aaarggh! I wish I had said something sooner.  No, is has never sounded right.  But I figured it was a small price to pay for all the benefits of LM.  I'm not even half way through and I'm getting nervous wondering if a part 2 is coming out!  Thanks for replying.  I'll write to customer service and see it I can get a new "mi" mp3 or if there is anything else I can do to fix it.  Thanks again!
