Hi ShenLi, can you tell us more about the Wink program. How do you use it?I alredy read a lot about Tweedle Wink, because most of the parents here use it.But I want to know more about Wink. Also can you tell us how do you understand which child is more right brain oriented and which is more left brain oriented? My older boy is 7.Does that mean that he is left brain oriented?

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: How do you teach your children not to eat junk food
|
on: April 16, 2010, 07:52:55 PM

My older child eats chips or popcors but not every day.I give him to eat it after meal. When he was 2 years old every person that was coming at home was giving him something sweet or snaks.BUt I was taking that things away from him.I put them in place where he can not reach them.So when he was a little boy he didn't eat so much junk food. He will be student in autumn and I am not so sure what he will eat at school.I can see a lot of children eating chips and snaks in the school yard when i pass by.Of course I will make him sandwich and will give him a fruit. But you can not control what your child is eating all the time because he/she is not with you during the day.I can olny hope that he will not eat it too much.My little child want to taste everything that we eat,but I will try to protect her as much time as I can from tasting chips and snaks.

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / How do you judge when your children are arguing
|
on: April 12, 2010, 11:49:32 AM
|
I have 2 children the one is 7 years and the other is 1 y and 6 mo.Sometime they are arguing about playing whith some toys. Our bigger child doesn't want to share some toys.Or they want to play with one and the same toy in particular moment. What do you do in this case?Do you judge what to do your children or you will leave them to decide by themselves what to do?I will be very grateful for your opinions. Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Do you brush your child's teeth

Thanks for sharing your experience about brushing your child teeth. It was very useful for me.I start brushing my child teeth but she doesn't like it.She is not staying still while I do it.I have to hold her head and arms because she is pushing me.I hope that she will understand what we are doing and will stop protesting against brushing.
