I've just started a few days ago so i'm still a little green. Imp that the child is willing to work, we should never force them or overstress them.
V do you ever wonder what our children will become after all this time and effort we dedicate to them?

Once upon a time, Santa Clause wandered into my garden and dropped his cookies on blue carpet that my sacks of beads fell onto. I picked pickled parsnips from Papa's popular place, then danced deliriously for my baby panda and he got slept under the Christmas tree. Whenever reindeer passes through the lovely supermarket OVERFLOWING with laughter throw tomatoes at grandpa giggling away. we all stopped when suddenly

It seems that when I leave without telling her it fine at the time. But when I leave her with someone, like the babysitter or her father...they tell me that once she notices that I'm not there...She'll climb to the windowsill, bang on the window and shout "MOMMY, WHERE'S MY MOMMY? I AM REALLY ANGRY!!!"
I hate doing this to her but I don't know what other solutions there are. My daughter has autism and it is really hard to have her understand when I try to explain to her.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: ready-made baby books with BIG FONT?
|
on: November 30, 2008, 04:12:37 PM

Me being a parent of 3 children with special needs, I too have hardly anytime to make books my self. But I am in for some suggestions re books with big fonts as well as sometimes I try to read my kids some stories and there are small fonts. They totally lose interest and leave from my side. i want them to actually listen to the story and enjoy it! My children have autism and this makes it more important to find books that actually grab their attention and are short. As they have very little sitting tolerance and attention spans! Any suggestions?

I have 3 children with autism and they all sleep well in the evening. I agree with Jake, I get the worn out during the day and before they go to bed i give them a warm bath and I don't give them a nap in the afternoon.
