Thank you very much! Would you tell how you managed to get the illustrations/pictures for, say, the Tale of Peter Rabbit? Did you scan them from the actual book? I'm thinking to do something like this with Dr Seuss' books. My son loves the books but he is distracted by pictures and does not pay attention to words. Thanks a lot!

I read somewhere that bananas before bed actually help a lot. As strange as it sounds, several moms claimed it worked for their babies.
I did not want to do cry it out so we both did not sleep for 10 months until my milk disappeared and he ended up crying when he woke up for 3 nights. Since then (it's been 8 months now), he sleeps 11 hours a night straight. He became a much happier baby after he started getting uninterrupted sleep. Well, and I became a much happier mom.I wish I did cry it out earlier. I think I read every possible book and website on baby sleep. Nothing but cry it out worked for us.

Alena, hope you don't mind me asking here...and Welcome! My native language is Russian as well.
Skylark, do you know if I need to pay the full price for the Russian curriculum (when it is ready) if I already own LR in English?
Thanks, Olga

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child Encyclopedic Knowledge / How do you show bits of knowledge from LR library to your child?
|
on: October 29, 2013, 12:21:48 PM

Hi everyone,
My son is 17 m o. We started LR not long ago. I believe Doman says to show each set of 10 bits of knowledge 3 times a day for 10 days and then start adding 1 bit of knowledge and retire one in each set every day. Is there a way to do that with LR? I see that some files in the library have 5 bits, some 10, some 20, etc. What is your method of showing them to your children? Has it been effective?
Thanks you so much to everyone who responds. Can't wait to use all the information in the LR library with my son.

Wow! Thank you so much everybody. I'm definitely getting an iPad. I hope it will be better than laptop as my son get distracted by the laptop and wants to play with keyboard itself. I have come across preschool prep books for eReader (Kindle) that teach sight words. Can I use these together with the LR program?
Thanks!
