Thanks for that prompt reply. Now that I know I should not expect semester 3, I should start collecting more quality materials to keep up to his pace. Anyway, I am happy to know that BK is working on Little Musician as that is one important thing I have been expecting for over a year.

  Very nice to find a grown-up Doman baby who can share her journey with us...There is so much to know from you/

1. At what age did your mother start the program with you?
2. As someone asked, we you also taught math the Doman way?
3. How long were you taught with the Doman method?
4. Was it combined with any other methods as you grew up?
3. Could you share your academic journey with us?
4. Apart from academics, what other areas of excellence do you have? Do you attribute that to the early education you recieved?

May I know when you introduced lego to him...at what age? I think my son will be very interested in such things, but I am worried about the small parts.

I think she means that the kid is reading phonetically like gar-den and not "garden" straight away by sight.

Well, if she is reading phonetically, let her continue that way. She is 4 years old and if she is reading right phonetically, then I don't think there is anything to worry about it. Sight reading is for babies and younger ones who cannot read phonetically. If you are worried about "speed reading", then I am not sure what to say...Perhaps it will come with practice.

Regarding holding the book and reciting the story from the pictures, perhaps she is more interested in the story than actually reading. Not all children cultivate the interest to read immediately. They develop it over time. Try and see what sort of stories she is interested in and get those books (with not so many self-explanatory pics). It might encourage her to read to get the story.

With version 1.6.315, I tried to use the print option for printing words alone..Will I not be able to use half sheet print for printing 2 words in the same sheet, so that it saves space. I understand it does so for word and picture, but why not word alone? (Or it is possible and I haven't figured it out ?).

This theory sounds totally illogical...

1. Are nannies the only souls taking care of the baby apart from mommy? What about dad and grandparents? If that is the case, 99% men would be adulterers.

2. How can a baby boy and a baby girl react differently to the same situation?

3. Children develop a mind of their own as they grow..And there are lots and lots of other resources that influence their behavior throughout their adolescence and adulthood..like internet, movies, peers etc. Can this poor nanny, who took care of him when he was less than 1 year old, be blamed as the only reason?

Walking is good, provided you don't exert yourselves too much. See to it that you don't get any palpitations. If you start feeling uncomfortable, stop and take some rest immediately.

Thank You Vanessa, ZaJa, L and J, Luckymommy1307, and suitsang. Now I think he remembers more than I thought he did. He is able to vocalize more words now. I have taken a video, will post it here soon.

Suitsang, I didn't use cards with him except for one month when I started Doman method. He was simply not interested in cards. I then switched to LR and we are completely on LR. I just took the cards out simply because I wanted to see if I can use it for reviewing. So cards is not something very necessary, if you have LR. But for a change, you can try them once in a while when your child shows less interest in LR. And reading a book is something great, which I have not been able to do...He only wants to grab it from me and turn it all by himself and play with it...So you are doing a great job already...Just wait for the results, it will happen.

They get the bladder control only from 18 months onward...So until then even if they understand, they may not be able to hold it. Perhaps now that he is 18 months, he may start responding to you. My son is the same age now and we have been telling him to go to the bathroom when he wants to go. A couple of days back he announced that he wants to go potty and used the toilet. Other times, accidents happen (though he understands he should not be doing that). I guess it will take a little more time...

Paps...I've been doing the Doman method since he was 4-1/2 months old. Switched to LR at 9 months as he didn't show interest in physical cards. We don't have a particular schedule, but go by his mood and what he wants at a particular time...Good to know you are getting organized..All the best for for teaching your kid.

   Yes, I am really excited about this...He read the first word "door" which I had posted on the wall among other old words to review...When I happened to go near the wall accidentally, he pointed to it and said "door." I just cannot describe the joy when I heard him say this...Yesterday, he read "up" and today he read "moon" and "aunty." Thanks to Glenn Doman and the Brillkids community for making this happen. 

We were looking at uncommon names, but which have a good meaning. There were only a couple of names that my hubby and I liked unanimously...so of the two, we chose the one that was rare.
