When will Little reader & Little math semester 2 be available?

If I purchase "semester 1+2" plan for little reader & little math now, when does the 12 month usage for semester 2 start? on the date of purchase or the date of availability of semester 2?

When the semester 2 courses are available, can I show both semester 1 & 2  on the same day to my baby?

When we upgrade from a 12 month plan to life time plan, can we have additional 4000 points since the difference from life time plan (8000 points) and 12 month plan (4000) is 4000 point?

Upgrade prices are never certain to stay the same, so really cannot say, I'm afraid.  We can just guarantee that there will be an upgrade path.

Could you please let us know before if price would go up? Of course, promo is always welcome anytime!

I am thinking about buying 12 month course plan for now. But I would like to upgrade to life time plan when I can afford it.

Although curriculum must be great, I was having hard time to persuade my hubby about getting LR & LM because it's quite a lot for us to pay. Maybe I wouldn't worry a lot now, about the possibility to pay for upgrade to version 2  if I paid LR & LM at old price before 1.5 (curriculum) came out.

But now  Life time plan is already pricey, but to think about paying again for upgrade after getting life time plan  makes me worry already....

In the Little reader course plans (6 months & 12 months), Is there any function to import files from brillkids library or create files myself to show those in playlist? or Do both plans have courses available only without being able to use software?

Did I understand right that only difference between 12- month- plan and life time is that with life time we can have courses and use of software for ever instead of being expired at the end of 12 months? And of course, any upgrade is free with life-time plan.

   

If I buy 6-month-plan, does it mean that

1. there is only 6 month contents that I can use for 6 months?

or

2. there is 12 months contents all available, so I can  choose to show whatever is appropriate level for my baby, but I can use it only for 6 month period of time.

Can anyone who bought Doman Math cd-rom comment how it is structured? Does it have each day learning structure? or do I need to customize daily dot sessions and equations from their dots in CD? Also for equations, does it have many dot equations that I can choose? Does it also have numerals equations as well (3+5=8)?

Does anyone has "sing to learn Chinese DVD" from wink to learn? How is it? How is the format?

We don't have anybody who understands or speaks Chinese in our family. But I would like my baby (20 months old) to learn Mandarin Chinese.

Is it worth to get these together with "speak & read Chinese" from wink to learn in their bundled package?

Or do you recommend other Chinese songs in CDs or DVDs?

Did anyone get a flu shot while pregnant? Do you know anybody who got a shot, but seems like no bad effect?

 I don't want to scare you guys who are pregnant already. But I read a article that Britain and Swiss government are advising against becoming pregnant when we can avoid it because of swine flu.

It seems like pregnant women  who were in 2nd or 3rd trimester suffered and died from swine flu more than other population and government is considering pregnant women as priority for baccination.

I didn't know, but I read it somewhere that regular flu shot is advised for a pregnant woman because bad flu can get really harmful to fetus. But only about 16%of pregnant women (if I remember correctly) get flu shot because they worry that flu shot is going to impact negatively to their fetus. Article says it seems there is no strong evidence that flu shot is harmful to fetus.

I wish that I could find that article. When I do, I'll post it here.

I am planning to pregnant because I feel that I am really ready, but this all scares me. So we are planning to wait until this winter to see how swine flu develops. I didn't know that around 300 people died already in U.S. Last time that I read about swine flu, it was about 10 people died here.

Does anyone can answer whether pattern phonics in LR course show just words or also picture (multisensory) as well? For example, "mop" in "-op" category shows the word "mop" and picture after that?

One more thing, I find it difficult for a baby to learn how to count the rhythms with Jazz music. For me, it was o.k. because I played piano for long time. But I prefer simple classical music for that.

Also they could create some menu that we can go directly to learn musical notes hitting piano section only. So, if baby gets bored with some representation (for example, toys moving like in babyeinstein dvd), at least we can have option to play musical notes hitting piano with pitch training section only.
