Ethan is such a cutie. I like the way he moves his body. I am struggling to build up Alyssa's interest in these videos. She seems unwilling to view them, though she will still sit through the entire show. She has never requested to watch them. Maybe i should show her videos of Ethan. She likes watching kids of her age.

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Physical flashcards from gdbaby.com.sg

Hi, I got the english and math cards from GDbaby singapore before my girl was borned. She was not interested in it at all. Esp for the Math dot cards, she looked away whenever saw the cards. I therefore stop showing her cards and sticked the cards all around the house to relate words to the objects. The cards are good for babies as they are big and clear. She is more into LR then the cards. Now that my girl is 2.5 yrs, i am reintroducing her the dot cards and she is enjoying it. Hope this will go on.

Hi,
I am a Malaysian staying in Johor Bahru. I have enrolled my 2.5 years old girl to Right Brilliance class in Singapore. It is similar to SM, except that you don't have to que for the long waiting list and the fees is more reasonable. The class will only be starting next month. The teacher that my girl will be engaged to was from Schichida, one of the senior teachers. Will post more info after attending the class if any of you is interested.

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Bedtime - when does your toddler go to bed at night?

My 28 month old goes to bed at 10.30 (she usually needs 30mins to an hour to fall asleep), wakes up at 8.30. She will take her nap around 2pm for 1.5-2hrs. She has lately reduced her nap to 1-1.5hrs and will sometimes protest to take nap. I have no intention to drop her nap as it helps to recharge and is defiantely alot more alert when doing other activites in the later part of the day.

Hi zaja,
Your son can speak very well. How old exactly is he? I've got a similar felt story board except it is that of the red riding hood. I introduced it to her when she was about 20mths, and she wasn't very keen on it. Now that she is turing 27 months soon, maybe it's a good time to introduce it again. Thanks for reminding. I got this felt board at a closing down sales and would wish to get more of the similar kind. Please advise on where to get them. Thanks.

Btw, i've just started my twins with Time Life Total Development Program which consists of books that teaches values, science, skills, language etc. The knowledge set comes with a talking pen as well and my twins absolutely love reading sessions with me. in fact they ask for books, books, each night before i put them to bed. if anyone of u are interested to find out more, check out http://www.educationaltechnologies.com/ or send me a PM for details. Hi Victoria, I am interested in getting the time life total development program. Could you please give me more info on this? Did you get all categories of books? Heard that the Math program is good. How old were your kids when you first started showing time life books? Have you also heard of other encyclopaedia books like: - world book: big and small. Early world of learning -Moncure -How i feel: silly, scared etc -Gloria They are highly reconmended by alot of malaysias parents. Just wonder where to het those distributors' contacts. Thanks for all the info you have given.
