Dear Kmum,
Thanks for sharing your experience. And I must confess that I also get without sleeping and checking all time if she is ok or not in according to the temperature. I´d like to know if you used medicines or not. Because even I know it is not harmful I don´t want to see her having seizures it´s very difficult! what´s your point of view? Thanks once more.

Need help!!!
My baby started having febrile seizure by the first time when she was 8 months and now she's 10. In the beginning we didn't know what was happening and we did not do anything in according to a treatment, but 15 days ago she had another crisis and we are convicted that it is febrile seizure, then, I would like to know what are your experiences in this case, if there is a treatment that I can do and if it is possible that it stops happening before she will be 4y. If anyone knows a source or an institution which is specialist in researching about this topic where I can look for help I will be thankful.

Parents' Lounge / Coffee Corner - General Chat / news on baldness treatment
|

Hello everyone, I watched on tv some news about baldness treatment, so that my husband is afraid of becoming and I found this info at www.greyhairloss.comCould Bimatoprost be the next FDA-Approved Medication for Hair Loss? Bimatoprost, the main active ingredient of Allergan, a medication used to reduce intraocular pressure and thus control glaucoma, has been recently approved by the FDA for lengthening eyelashes. This new cosmetic formulation of bimatoprost is sold as Latisse. It is not uncommon that a drug’s unexpected side effects are utilised to treat other conditions, for which it was not developed. Both FDA-approved medications for treating hair loss were originally designed to treat other health conditions. Minoxidil was initially used to treat high blood pressure, long before its hair growth-promoting properties were discovered. The same applies to the second FDA-approved, hair loss medication, finasteride. It was originally used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), until its use in treating hair loss came to be known. And most recently, dutasteride, another anti-androgen employed in the treatment of BPH, was subjected to clinical examination as a novel hair loss treatment, the final details of which are expected to be released soon. Similarly, can bimatoprost, originally a glaucoma medicine, yet able to lengthen, thicken and darken eyelashes, have the same positive effect on the fine vellus hair left in the balding area of the scalp? I~d like to know if there is any person who understand better about it and could share the expirience. Thanks at all.

Well,
I am daughter of a principal and when my yongest sister was in time to start the regular school, the laws in my country acepted to begin earlier if the parents wanted, then, as my sister was just reading she began one year before the usual, so in her case, I think she was imature to all that was presented for her, but it doesn´t mean that in your case will be the same, the minds are diferent and depend on your concepts. Analyse and good luck.

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: Ideal gap between babies?

In my case, I have 3 children, the gap is not so big but it is a good gap in my opinion so that the first child is 4 y 10m the second one is 2y 4m and the third one is 2m. I confess that it isn´t easy we have to be prepared for this and want it. My husband helps me a lot and my older child helps too. She plays with my second one all the time. Then, the difference in the gap is around 2 years and none of them had problems as retroceeding the dipers, potty, etc only a little jealous... emotionally yes. But, I think it worths!
