I want to become a Montessori Teacher, so if you PY, or anyone has any recomendation as to a program, etc to look for, I would really apreciate it. We just moved to the USA, and becoming a montessori certified teacher is one of my goals. I was living in Argentina before, and this method isn't very common there.
 

Yes, is very nice and I know that Montessori is a good way to teach our kids, but the thing that i really upset about is the price that you need to pay for your kids so they can go to a Montessori school. Right know I'm looking for one to send my girl but the Montessori schools are so expensive...   is sad cause is a good education and our kids are the future. Why they do this? Why they turn something good in something expensive and select it?

A good program to teach a child to type is Typing tutor. There are different versions for adults and children.

Safira went all the way down the stairs and hid herself in the bathroom shower. So cute. She really likes to play hide and seek. Also, yesterday she took the flashcards and brought  to me so I could show them to her.

Something that I find very fun to teach kids  are the puzzles, because it is a good way to learn while having fun. Here we will annex a link educational puzzles that you can see. It is in Spanish, but I suppose it you could find in English, ha!.

Es cierto que depende del niño, pero tambien aconsejan que el mejor momento para enseñarle es a la mañana. Yo lo hago con mi hija y funciona muy bien. Realizo todas las actividades que requieren as cncentracion a la mañana y a la tarde hacemos ejercicio, limpieza, etc. Con respecto a las flashcards trato de mostrarselas a la mañana y durante el dia, me ha funcionado mostrarselas antes de dormir la siesta y antes de dormir a la noche, le gusta mucho en esos momentos.

Lo mejor que hay para enseñarle a un niño ser sociable, compartir, etc, es darle un hermanito si es que no hay niños como 'el a su alrededor.

Me parece muy importante enseñarle al niño buenos modales, y es mejor cuando sonchiquitos ya que es facil convertirlo en un habito. Por mi parte, cuando mi hija tenia 4 meses le mostraba unas posters de modales, bien lindo, por ejemplo  mostraba a un ninos compartiendo sus juguetes y abajo del dibujo decia "es bueno compartir", , o decir por favor y gracias al pedir algo, etc.
Para pedir por favor, mi hija aplaudia dos veces y para decir gracias se llevaba la palma de la mano contra la comisura de la boca y despues la sacaba. Esto lo aprendio cuando tenia 9 meses y me resulto muy util  porque cuando queria algo siempre aplaudia dos veces y me lo señalaba. Tambien le enseño  a cuidar  bien los juguetes (no tirarlos, morderlos,etc), libros, animales. Le enseño a pedir perdon y a ayudar a los demas, demostrar aprecio por otros, saludar, comer bien, limpiarse la boca, sentarse correctamente a la mesa, entre otras cosas.

Hola Sebastian!. Siento no haberte respodido de inmediato. Con respecto al programa starfall.com, lo unico que le estoy eneñando a mi hija es el abecedario, calendario semanal y algun que otro juego ya que le gusta mucho. Con niños que ya tiene de 3 a 4 años hacemos algunas foneticas pero ya saben leer en ingles.
