Spanish, French and Chinese are three of the languages I am also teaching my son as well. There are three parts to the dvd series in each languages so for now I show him part 1 in spanish, part 2 in french and part 3 in chinese and after we finish with those I plan to rotate until we have completes all the parts. I agree that having other language dvds is good to have as well to give your little one a variety of language exposure.

Yes, we all have those days   I spent most of the summer out of town as well. I knew that I would not have the same learning environment that I have at home, but I did what I could and whenever possible created a learning experience out of many of the activites we did together. Luckily, he reminded me when it was time for him to do math, or reading, or his language material, but if he didn't I didn't sweat it. I just did what I could. There are learning opportunities all around us and who says it always has to be using flashcards:) Try not to stress and do what you can, things will get back on track just relax, smile and have fun

I saw an infomercial about this  a week or so ago and was wondering if anyone has tried this program or heard anything about it. Thanks in advance to all those that respond!!

I searched the site to see what language software you were referring to and I think it was "Tell Me More". Sheeberi mentioned it in her reply under a post about Rosetta Stone. I checked out the demo and it looks good, but I am still not sure if I will do that or Rosetta Stone....decisions decisions

I contacted Martina at the Website Aguh posted about and she said that they are currently working on adding audio clips to the slides, but it will be 4-6 more weeks before it is ready. She also said that she would contact me to let me know when they are complete so I will post here again when she does.

You have it correct   As for the powerpoints, I am not sure what your schedule is like, but if you want to work on some together let me know....The most time consuming part for me is finding pictures

I am getting ready to order one, but I wanted to post here first.

I spoke to Jenny, a customer rep. at the company and she informed me that any order placed on the 6th and after for the blue udder cover and the 12th and after for the pink one was not shipped out until May 21st due to the items being on back order. She said all the orders have been shipped out and should arrive between Wednesday and Friday of next week.

She said that if anyone has any further question please do not hesitate to call her at 1-801-766-2290, she was very helpful and willing to clear up any issues that I had and I am sure she will do the same for you.

P.S. She also inquired about the forum and after telling her how wonderful it was she said that if she gets a free moment today that she will visit the site:)

I have RealPlayer so I right clicked on the "play button" under the word, then I went to "download this video to realplayer. Once in real player I right clicked again and went to "move file" then saved it to the folder I wanted on my computer.

Ater that I just follow the steps to add voice to powerpoint.

Let me know if you have any more questions, there might be an easier way to do it, but this is what worked for me....take care!!

I didn't get beyond the individual word flashcards, but from reading the sentences you listed below I see why it is useful for adults and not so much for children.

I am using this site for myself to help with my pronunciation, but as far as using it for my son I haven't. Instead, I make powerpoints, download the sound clips from this site and add them to my presentations.



 

Here is another site I found for learning german. You can either sign up for a free account or pay a small free for a premium membership. It does have audio with a bunch of vocabulary words and sentences as well. Hope you find it useful!!

I had a wonderful vaginal birth!! I would definitely choose the delivery over being pregnant any day.
