Z ta trojezycznoscia u nas wyszlo troche przypadkiem.

Robilismy dzis probe i nawet moja niespelna trzylatka pokonuje trase w te i z powrotem na wlasnych nogach (w gre wchodzily by jeszcze rowery).

Czyli byl tydzien niebieski, potem czerwony itp, najpierw czarny / bialy, potem kolory podstawowe, pochodne i te, co zostaja Wink czyli brazowy, szary i rozowy. Ksztalty najpierw te proste, potem coraz bardziej skomplikowane az do bryl wlacznie smile Zajrzyj tutaj : http://www.memorizingthemoments.com pod zakladke colors & shapes. My poszlismy bardziej w kierunku Montessori, zawsze bylo pudelko sensoryczne, jakies klocki itp, plus dodatkowo kredka, farba dot paint i do malowania palcami i ciastolina w danym kolorze.

Rayan w wieku okolo 3 lat potrafil wysypac z pudelka guziki i mowic np. ten. Przeliczalam kilka razy i sie sprawdzalo smile (liczba guzikow sie zmieniala).

Programy oferowane na tej stronie (Little Reader, Little Math, Little Musician) maja niewiele wspolnego z Montessori. Sa raczej inspirowane Domanem i Schichida (matma). Co do skutecznosci, hmmm. Prawde mowiac, my od samego poczatku uzywalismy mieszanki roznych metod i programow. Jednoczesnie ogladalismy Signing Time i Tweedle Wink.
Sama metodyka Montessori to temat - rzeka. Zakochalam sie w temacie ponad trzy lata temu i trzyma mnie do dzis smile Robilismy troche w domu, teraz syn chodzi do montessorianskiego przedszkola, jesienia pojdzie do szkoly (klasy 0-6). Rodzenstwo ma tutaj pierwszenstwo przy naborach do szkol, wiec moja prawie 3letnia corka i prawie 1,5 roczny synek pojda w slady starszego brata smile
Jesli masz jeszcze jakies pytania, pytaj smialo smile Postaram sie pomoc smile

7  BEYOND EARLY LEARNING (for older years) / General Discussions - After Early Learning / Kindergarten advice please :) on: March 26, 2014, 02:09:50 AM
Hi,
I need your advice. My son will be 5 in June and start Kindergarten this fall. I did some early learning with him and he was reading at 3.5. At 4 he entered Montessori preschool (3-6 yo class), by this time he was reading at grade 3 level, counting to 100, doing addition and subtraction etc. It was mostly for improvement of his English, his third language. I'm Polish, my husband is French and we live now in USA. DS speaks polish like native, his french is a little weaker but he can still speak fluently and his english now is somewhere in between.

Now the story smile We are sure that a typical public K is not a right fit for him so we searched alternative solutions smile There is a Montessori School (grades K - 6th) in just a couple of minutes from our house. It's a tuition free charter school. What I like about this school that there is not a daily homework smile A school day ends by 3.30, Friday at 12 Pm. There is an after care available but not really the after school program applied. They have just chess and something else, I think.

There is also a French - American school . It's also tuition free charter school but much much bigger than this Montessori school. The biggest problem is that there is 25 miles from where we live now. They do there a mix of French and American programs, but at Kindergarten is like 90/10 french/english. By grade 6 is mostly 50/50 (with STEM subjects always in english). They have a really nice after school program, with music, art, chess, even Lego and robotics teams and code learning smile

DS has a little sister (she is almost 3) and a little brother (almost 1,5 yo). DD can go to preschool but I think I will let her with me for some more time. She is just about to reading and starting simple math and I will share these moments with her smile

Any advice welcomed smile I'm brainstorming for weeks now and can't take any decision. Thanks in advance smile

9  EARLY LEARNING / Homeschooling / Re: Discovery Education Streaming Plus FREE Trial on: July 30, 2013, 03:11:15 PM
We listen Twin Sisters songs. They have a lot of educational songs on different topics and we love their 'When I grow up I will be...(marin biologist, astronaut, chemist, paleontologist, etc ) :

When I grow up, I want to be something very interesting.
The job I’ll do will help a lot of people, and I’ll like the work that I do. Each day will be adventurous, and I’ll strive to learn a lot.
Then I’ll share what I know and my knowledge will grow.
It’s the perfect, perfect job!
...
Now science is important, so I’ll study hard when learning about biology. Experiments in chemistry will help me learn to develop good hypotheses.
Then I’ll read and I’ll read and I’ll read some more, and I’ll share just what I learn, ‘cause when I grow up I want to be something very interesting.

Yes, I’ll share what I know
and my knowledge will grow. It’s the perfect, perfect job! The perfect, perfect job!

They have lyrics for each song also smile

I will say something from Signing Time collection ? Both my son (almost 4) and daughter (2) love all these videos since they were babies. Favourites : Leah's Farm, The Great Outdoor, The Zoo Train.

My son loves also Safari miniature animals. There is a lot of different tubes, in each there are 10 or more miniatures. The best place to buy them is Michael's store - 7$ a tube if I remember well and there is often a discount coupon (- 50 % even). And there is so many things to do with them... smile

15  Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: What shows do you let your kids watch? on: April 23, 2013, 02:22:56 AM
Hi,

Good question smile

My kids are almost 4, almost 2 and 4,5 months.

Basically, they are allowed 1hour of screen time each day. Usually it happens before dinner. I always thought that is quite a lot, but in the Tweedle Wink Program Overview is marked that their stages are allowed as much as 120 min of educational videos per day smile

They watch : LR, LM, LMs, Signing Time (from time to time, they mastered all the signs smile, Tweedle Wink, Your Baby / Child Can Discover (they are in love with it right now Wink , Go, Diego Go, Sid The Science Kid, Blue's Clues, sometimes Mathtacular.

Sometimes my son (4) will watch Twenty Trucks or Mighty Machines.

Other times my doughter (2) will watch a Leap Frog video : Phonics Farm, Math Adventure to the Moon or new ones : Shapeville (?) and something about opposites.

They watch most videos in English. It's our third language. Sometimes they will watch a polish version of Little Einsteins.

The baby is not watching but usually he hears what is playing in background (he is on the floor, practicing rolling and just about crawling). I have two discs of Sparkabilities baby waiting for him - maybe in one month or so...
