Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Cod Fish
|
on: November 20, 2008, 12:12:35 AM
|
hello everyone,
i've got a problem now. my son is turning 8mths old in 2 days time. i've just started to try and give him cod fish as his first not veg food. i mix the cod fish in a porridge with carrot and brocolli, guess what, he hates it. he doen't open his mouth at all. but when he sits with us together at the dining table, he rushes and opens his mouth for the food that we pretend to feed him from our plate.
i take those opportunity to put his food in his mouth and he realises its not the food from our plate and makes that vomitting face or even sometimes he vomits.
what should i do to make him eat. soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lost.

yes, he has been on his solid food since he turned 6mths old. maybe i should try giving 1 more extra meal. but i also heard that the amount of milk intake is very important as growing children still needs all the nutrients in the milk.
is your baby drinking the same amount of milk ever since start teething?

hi there,
how long do you think his gums will hurt and how long should i monitor before i panic?
its really kinda a difficult to see your baby go without drinking the usual for the day.
i really dont know if its the teething or he just trying to tell me 'change the formula brand'
confused as usual

hello everyone,
is anyone encountering reduction in milk intake.
My 7mths old son has started to play alot and reduced his milk consumption. everytime i give him his milk bottle he plays with the teat instead of drinking.
he is currently teeting as well. i dont know if this is the cause of it. but i am having hard time to convince him to drink.
please share

i totally agree.
i have 7mth old son and he is my jewel of my life. he amazes me everyday and brights up my night.
but i have a problem too, i reach home at 6.30 ot 7.00pm at night and my son goes to sleep at 8.00 to 8.30. can you believe it. i have very little time with him and all i want to do is hug and kiss him till he goes to sleep. i only show flash cards in the weekends and spend quality time with him then.
its just so tight for me and i feel very guilty about it all the time

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / Re: pneumococcal injection
|
on: October 09, 2008, 05:08:16 AM
|
hello there,
thank you for your reply. my son is 6.5mth old.
My doctor's advise was to do it when he turns 1yr old which will then be only 1 shot (3 in 1). whereas, if i choose to do earlier then i will have to go 3 diff times to give him the jab.
i can always wait till he turns 1yr old. but i dont know how important it is to do it asap.
anyways, i will browse thru the website you've given me.
thank you peanutbutter

Parents' Lounge / General Parenting / pneumococcal injection

hello,
its me again. my son is due for his pneumococcal injection sometime end of this month which is optional at this time of his age. This jab can be given when he is 1yr old which would be only once. If i opt to do it now, then he has to go for 3 jabs.
how many of you know about the importance of doing it earlier rather than waiting till he is 1yr old. My doc advise was to do it when he is 1yr old.
just being cautious here.
please advise
