 My baby has just turned two and is trying to push the boundaries already. Sometines it is very cute, but one needs to know where to draw the line.  What is cute at two is not necessarily cute at 12!!   
 

I think this is a good idea and would like to make a suggestion.  Very often I see something that I would like to comment about like "this is great" for eg. rather than just ignoring it.  Would it be possible to give say 5 points for an accumulation of short posts of less than 10 words. Could be 10, 15, 20 posts?? This would still encourage acknowledgements and not do too much to the system as these posts are counted anyway.

I have also made my own laminated flash cards for Sive.  She has her own table and chairs in the family room where she has access to her "learning" (flash cards, colouring in books, play dough etc) material at all times. We often have the whole floor strewn with the cards!

                  Been there done that!  Sive is nearly 19 months old and we stil have a mini war as many times in the day that the face or nose needs wiping!

I have just taken my child for her measles injection, which for various reasons was overdue.

When I spoke to the clinic sister about the "problems" with the MMR this was her reaction. (There has to be a 6 month interval before the MMR can be given).

> The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, particularly if a child is in a cheche or play group where they pick up EVERYTHING.

Speak to your clinic and/or doctor if in doubt and find out from the medical profession what other complications can occour with  Measles, Mumps or Rubella

I do not believe that they can automatically be labled "unhealthy foods".  As long as MODERATION is ensured by the parents, a slice of cake now and then or some chips  (accompanied by some grilled fish for example), can't do any harm.

Tabs, my mom was also forced to use her right hand.  She says at school they used to tie her left hand behind her back.  As a result she obviously didnt cope very well untill she was comfortable using the rght hand.  Talk about confusing one's brain!!!       It is brutal!
