EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child - Other Topics / Re: How to improve writing skills and coloring of children

Hey My daughter's teachers recommended a triangle pencil for writing at this age. Faber castle and apsara have those versions. instead of having hexagonal or circle shape, the lead is covered by triangle shape wood.
encourage her to scribble more and more. the more the child scribbles the better the grip on pencil.
Also there are books available in the market where kids can join dots and then color inside ( not join the numbers or alphabets but just simple dots.) I let her do lots of it and she loved tracing.
there are lots of tracing worksheets available free on DTKS and googlekids, check those out. Garima

some things that I follow:
Keep it on a weekend so all can come create invitation list with help of your kid, if he/she is too small, call all kids he/ she seems to like create a theme - not too dressy for young kids, depending on teh season keep limited items keep finger foods for kids, one item for elders. keep mother-toddler games.
hope these help

This is so true. a child creates impressions about the world when he/ she is born itself.
we need to counsel them and show the benefits of mingling with people. I say to my daughter, " If you do not speak how will people know you are a smartie?"
"If you express what you want people will give that to you, but if you dont, you dont get what you could."
