Hi Huongvan, Unfortunately there are few shichida schools in a world except Japan as I heard there are near 400 schools open there!!! I know one opens in New York in 2003 but just this one in US! Sure, it's my pleasure to help other moms. You can ask me whatever you want whenever ofcourse I'm new mom but with other mom's help we can learn our children as much as we can. You can start reading for her/him. I don't remember which month baby hears from womb but you can simply search at www.babycenter.com. It has very useful information about health and step by step pregnancy!

Hi Huongvan, Welcome to this forum. I'm not an English native too and have a 10 months old baby. Me and my hubby speak persian at home, but as I live in Malaysia I talk English to her when we are out! And we go to shichida class once a week where everyone speak English there. I think you can show English and Vietnamese flashcards at the same time. I know some mothers who learn 5-6 different languages to their below 3 yo child and no mixing happened! You can first start with Vietnamese flashcards and then show them in English. Just remember not mixing them at the same time. I mean show all cards you want to show in Vietnamese, after finishing tell her/him now we start English mommy and show the same cards (or different if you prefer) in English! I hope this help you, good luck mommy

Mommyroo, May I ask how old is he? My LO is 10 mo and she speaks limited words and sounds. Her reaction to "no" is laughing ( I don't know why, because I say no seriously to her!!) I want to start LR this week as I'm new here and didn't know it before! I think I start with English and after few months add another language ( as you and some other moms say it's not confusing for babies ) Thank you mommyroo and lelask for sharing your experiments

Hi Lori, My LO is around 10 months old. I don't know to much about Glenn Doman but it's similar to Shichida which she is going to classes now. I think flashcard is base on both method! I just want to start home practice by math flashcards and LR! There is a 63 days math program which should repeated 4 times. At the first just show 1-100 dots then after months addition and multiply. Here is shichida site : http://www.shichidamethod.com/You can see some problems that was solved by 2 and half year old !!

EARLY LEARNING / Teaching Your Child to Read / Re: Fleshcards reading duration

Hi Syahirah,
No, it's not heavy! Shichida recommand to start with 100 cards. If you show each card in 1 second it takes just 100 seconds, less than 2 minutes!
But if you think your baby doesn't like it, you can separate it. Two groups of 50 cards. One morning and one evening or anytime LO is ready!

I don't know the exact time, but you can start with 100 flashcards a day, increase it to 250 flashcards a day slowly! Your LO is too young but Shichida recommand for younger kids up to 1000 flashcards a day My LO is 9 and half now and I still work with 100 flashcards a day Good luck momma!!

Congrats! I'm going to teaching my 9 month old in a week and can't wait for the moment she starts reading by her own! It could be one of my the most beautiful day ... May I ask how old is she? And how long do you teach her? Do you use LR? Anything else?
