Yes, I've read the book that you mentioned (that was before I found Brillbaby).
In my personal view, Brillbaby actually is the-short-cut-way and simplified version of Doman's method where you can get started 3 steps ahead (and earlier) than if you do all the flashcards by yourself. Happy teaching!

Oh how I wish I have the energy to do all the activities mentioned in the forum. For the time being, I let my 6mths old baby boy watch the YBCR DVD daily. I'm not sure whether he's enjoying it or not, but he seems to be focused and curious or shall I say suddenly-become-a good-boy everytime I turn on the DVD (which is unusual for an active baby like him). We already move to Volume 1 today. Yippieee! As for the Brillbaby flashcards, we do it once daily before bedtime.

From my reading through the net, Schicida (sorry, I might mispelled) method is likely the same as Doman. It makes full use of flashcards to develop "photographic memory" in baby's brain. Somehow, I really need to dig this out, but then I hardly find time to surf. Kindly share.

I've finished reading most of GD books last month. I'm so excited that I've found those books while reading one of the blog on the net. Oh, I must say that it's not easy for me to read 4 thick books in a row, especially when English is my 2nd language *hehe*. I feel so lucky to find YBCR DVD in my local store (accidentally). It's a big help, no doubt, as preparing for flashcards is definitely time consuming for a full time working mom like me. I just started YBCR DVD for about 2 weeks, so far my 6mths old baby boy loves it especially when it comes to sing-along part. However, sometimes he looks quite bored 'coz the Starter DVD keeps on repeating the same words again and again. Well, hopefully joining the forum will keep me motivated to bring out the best of my baby.
