Yes, you should always control your kids on the internet. On top of the software others have recommended I'd say limiting internet access can be helpful as well.

* check browsing history
* set a timer depending on age
* inform them on what site are allowed vs off limits
* depending on the age you should educate them on the dangers of predator's, cyberbullying, identity theft and inappropriate context

After the first year they had pictures taken for every holiday or special event. (More often than not they didn't like alot of the picture that were take. Also, there were moments the child didnt cooperate resulting in unprofessional looking pictures) Not to mention the cost.

I personally prefer taking my own pictures. If you are not computer savy you can easily download an app to make a basic picture look professional.

I've dressed my little ones up and taken them to the park or an open field and taken pictures. No one could tell they werent professionally done. Furthermore, we had a wonderful time, there wasnt a time restraint and it was no pressure

I was told it was safe to get dental work done during pregnancy and the second trimester is the best time for it. I have had work done. When the x rays were being done they used two pads around my mid area for added relief/safety.

In my opinion the decision is ultimately up to you. You will have to weigh out the pro's and con's. For me the fear/risk of getting an infection was far worse because it can be deadly. Also, they limit the type of medication you can take during pregnancy. I was worried as you were. Hence, alot of questions ran through my head. Ex: If i were to get an infection would the prescribed medicine to get rid of the infection cause more harm? This dosnt exclude the discomfort you may be in during which could be adding stress to you and the baby. (My dentist told me it was medically needed)

Overall i'd ask my OBGYN and Dentist there opinion as well as search online. You can always get a second or third opinion else where.

*Alpha- Phonics is a really good book

*Word families: Ex: at, cat, hat, bat, sat. (may help out with identifying/sounding out new but similar words)

*Dolch sight words: Make sure she knows all of them. (These are some of the most common words found in books especially children books)

*Flash cards:  1st Select 5 - 10 words. 2nd Go over these words for a week 3-5 times every day. Once the week is over select a new set of words & repeat. At the end of each week you can do a review. (This takes less then 5 min a day and can be done any where)

*Make your own mini stories: 1st Get a peice of paper. 2nd On each line write a sentence changing one or two words on every row. (Ex: The dog is big. The cat is small. The bear is big. The mouse is small.) 3rd Read it together for a few days then once she gets the hang of it let her read it to you on her own.

Hey! I just figured out how to add attachments.    To give you an idea of how the stickers look I took some pictures of two of the many DIY wall stickers I made for EA room. Its been a little over two years and not one has come off. (The camera i used does not take good pic's. I just hope you can see it)

A cheap way to get the nursery art you want is by making them your self. You will need scissors or an x-acto, & clear adhesive covering. Go online & find some free pictures of cartoon characters, cars, trains, bows... etc. Then print them out. If you have Adobe Photoshop (cost) or Paints (usually come with your cp) on your cp you can personalize the pictures you found online or just make them larger or smaller.  You can also uses your photoshop or paints to make your own shapes. You can make them what ever color or size you want.. Print them out & cut around the pictures.

You need to cut out two pieces of adhesive covering slightly larger then your pic. One to put on the bottom of the picture & one to put on top (like a sandwich).
Step 1- Take the adhesive covering (leave the white paper attached) & lay the paper side down on the table.
Step 2-  lay the pic on top of the adhesive
Step 3-  take the sec piece of adhesive & peel the paper off. Place this piece on top of the pic sticky side down.  (Rub your fingers on & around the pic.)
Step 4- You can cut around the pic but not to close. Leave some adhesive surrounding the pic.  ( you want them to stick together while holding the pic inside)
Step 5- You can put them aside until you are ready to decorate.


You can buy the adhesive covering at Target, Walmart, Kmart & a few other places. They also have other brands that sale this product.
