Hi, Saul42:

I had a great concern when I saw your post on our customer support did not respond to your question because we have a really good reputation on our customer service. What I found is that we did respond to you on both of your email request. Could it be those emails were buried somewhere in your inbox?

Here are the two responses from our support team:

Hi John,

Our return policy is to exchange or give a refund on any defective
products, such as the DVDs or printed material.

If a DVD has been opened and played, we are unable to give a refund for it,
because it cannot be resold.  This is a customary policy for DVD sales and
returns.  Also, we unfortunately have had a few situations in the past with
customers copying the DVDs and then wanting to return the original for a
refund.

There is a free TweedleWink lesson online that you can listen to, and an
audio excerpt from the course outline before placing an order.  Hopefully
this will be enough to make a decision on our program.

Kind regards,
Linda

Hi John,

Our return policy is similar to other companies which sell DVD products:
any DVD which has not been opened is returnable, and any items in new
(saleable) condition are returnable.  All opened packages are not
returnable.

We do offer a free preview of a sample TweedleWink lesson at
www.rightbrainkids.com/tw-lesson, so that you can decide if it is the right
program for your child.

At this time, we are not set up to take payments, as we are a small company
and have limitations on our payment computer back end system.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,
Linda

Thank-you again and oh, I didn't realize that you had a secret identity to reveal. What is that all about? I just thought thought like many of us that you just were not revealing too many personal details on a forum.

Yeah, it's mostly just that!  Wink

Thanks DadDude for your quick response. I will definately try your suggestions. I might start with trying some cvc words on the fridge that he hasn't seen before. It is hard to know what he knows from the words he has seen. We have not watched ybcr for some time now as he previously demonstrated knowledge of all these words. He would read them all without fail by about 14 months. It's just now he acts like he has never seen them before if put in front of him (but like you I don't push it). It's the same with little reader, he knows the words when we are going through a period which focuses on particular words, but when we go back to them at a later date he doesn't
seem to remember (just has a blank look or says something completely different). It has also been a similar experience with colours. He could identify them perfectly well before the age of 12 months. Now if you ask him what colour something is he will usually just say blue or purple. What confuses me most with the reading is sometimes when we are out and about, he will read words correctly out of the blue. As you have said I think it is probably time to put away the cards for a while and concentrate on
the letter sounds. At the moment he is very fond of the alphabet song from his phonics bus.

Thank-you again and oh, I didn't realize that you had a secret identity to reveal. What is that all about? I just thought thought like many of us that you just were not revealing too many personal details on a forum.

Catalina started to recognize words at 14 months old..I always remeber her first word was gorilla..she saw the word and made the sign..it was cute!!I think teaching her sign language open a new way of comunication with her, it was really easy to understand her once she started recognizing words, I usually test her to see if she is learning and reforce it. I personal think is important for me to test her otherways I can't go forward if she doesn't know it.I have to work on the same on different ways until she learns it. Like I say I always knew if she is learning when she signed the word to me.
Now she is 24 months old,her vocabulary has improved a lot, she speaks like a parrot but I have still some problems undertanding her(sometimes), I ask her to do the sign, so I can understand what she needs or wants. Signing with her and her father help us to build a new fun way to express our feelings and needs. I think it's pretty amazing. It is just like another language for us.
About the colors, she actually loves performing(I have to hide the camara otherways she will stop) she loves colors, animals and shapes(her favorite is heart). So far she can recognize 12 colors in spanish and english. I am going to start teaching her the pigment of each basic color. There are some different activities children love doing with colors. I will write some more ideas for sharing later.
good luck.

Well, with Valerie is kind of funny because as soon as you ask her she looks at the right one and then is like she second guess herself. Sometimes, she ends up giving the right one sometimes she doesn't. Since I don't want her to stress about it, I rarely "test" her (I try to do it as a game). Also, is like whenthe first time I do it, she can get them 100% right, but as soon daddy comes and I want her to show him, sehe is not interested. Same thing with him, she does it for him and when I come into the picture that is the end of it. With letters and its phonics, she is great! We can be anywhere and she starts making the phonic for whatever letter and we look and there it is! She lvoes letters and its sounds. She loves animals and can do the sounds they make. She never says their names though. However, the other day she was looking at a book and making the sounds and all the suden she saw a goose, and she said "duck"  unsure

Just yesterday, she kept saying "big", "big", I looked and there was a book that has the word "BIG" on the cover. Later at night I asked hr in fron of daddy and she read the word. That was very nice. Ocne the camara was out, that was the end of it  laugh

Today I decided to stop with LM for a while. She is not into it and she says "no, no". We had already done Doman with flash cards, so I may pull those out again.

I guess I just trust she knows and when less I expect it she shows off. I think I'll stick to the "no testing" because I think she gests stress about it and if she doesn't get it right, I second guess myslef if this is worth it (I know it is, don't take me wrong), but I get a bit discourage.

great tips hypatia.. I too find erase board very useful.  my son loves it .
we play a lot of games on it .. like matching the pictures with words (3 at a time) or with the numbers.. I use erase board to explain him a few things like how does a plant grow or how does the rain come.. he finds these kind of explanations more interesting..
we have been following LR from a few days so to refresh the words which are been done a few days back I randomly write a few words  on erase board or on paper & then keep them at different places & ask him to find the word. and to my surprise he picks up the right word most of the time..
this is his favorite game.

Just the pregnancy and parenting boards are showing up in both places. I would assume that posting on either forum on those boards would just count as one post.

I did not know that. Thanks for telling.
How do you count the messages as they seem to overlap (when you post in some categories of brillkids it goes into parentweb as well?)
