I am thinking about Homeschooling my child too. But I am kind of afraid that it would just stunt her social skills  I am kind of introverted, so I know how its like, and I dont want that for her. I want her to grow up friendly and playful, but most especially a good a person inside and out

Hello to everyone!

I am also a Filipino mom! I am new to BrillKids, but I have been kind of addicted to the forum ever since I joined.      I love it! It gives me time to relax when the little one is busy taking a nap. I am also a single mom to a 5-month old babygirl, so sleep and rest is kind of limited. I am really happy that I have found this...It has given me time to unwind during my free time.

Thanks for the welcome Nadia. I am currently living in Oklahoma, but I am thinking of moving to Reno, NV so my DD can be closer to her daddy. I actually have a job interview Wednesday, and I am really nervous about it. We will definitely move if I get hired. So I'm crossing my fingers!

Know what? Home-schooling actually prevents shyness and it promotes healthier social skills with others! I will send you an article regarding this. Basically, young children needs unconditional love from parents more than being with peers of the same age group. Being bullied by other students at school, making fun at by classmates, receiving undue pressure from school-teachers are usually the cause of an unhealthy social skills that will eventually lead to introversion.

Home-schooling can prevent all of these negative factors. Interacting with other relatives, with god-parents, with young cousins is way better than being with classmates of the same age. You can always have playtime activities at the kids gym or at the pool while he's having swimming lessons for a chance to mingle with others.

i thank god.. may pinoy pala dito.. hi im just new here.. im audz fr lpc... i have a 3 months old baby boy now.. curious ako sa billbaby tips ni KL.. hoping na maging effective talaga ito.. but i wanted to know if there is a right hour to teach my son... and also i made a poll sa parenting corner .. i hope mga kabayan you answer some of it.. sana din i can find new friends dito.. thanks .. and great day to all...
