CONTEST: Write a Children's Story!

THAT BANANA THERE!
Slide #1:
I like eating bananas!

First mommy goes to buy the banana for me.

Slide#3: Then I pop the banana into my mouth.

Slide#4: And suddenly that banana is gone!

Bubby’s Busy Day          By Nicole

Slide 1:
Wake up! Good morning!
Stop your yawning!
Wakey-wakeys mummy,
A new day is dawning.

Image 1: bubby in cot standing up holding on to bar, all excited she’s awake.

Slides 2, 3 and 4:
Mum changes my nappy,
And gives me milk to drink.
Then she dresses me up,
From head to toe in pink.

Slides 5 and 6:
We go out for a drive,
I’m strapped into the car.
I fall fast asleep,
And we haven’t gone far!

Slide 7 and 8:
When we get home,
My mum wakes me up.
I have something to eat,
And I drink from a cup.

I play with my pussy-cat,
Patting her paws,
So soft and furry,
Ouch! Out come her claws.

I read a big book,
Sitting in my mum’s lap.
I fall off to noddy-land,
And she puts me down for a nap.

Dad gives me a bath,
Then towels me all dry.
He puts on my PJs,

I agree - Nikita, great stories!!  The shoes and the bears - how fabulous are they!! Wow.

Thanks, but the last one I'm not happy with, I just rushed writing it to get it in before the deadline. Or are they extending it again... I have more stories in mind, not enough time to get them written.  How do working mothers do it?? Just trying to get a spare moment to writie a story was a nightmare.

I hear you Nikita - I had lots of ideas too- just no time.  Sometimes I get really frustrated b/c I know there is no possible way to get all of the things done that I hope to accomplish with and for my kiddos while they are still young.  We'll just have to keep doing the best we can, I guess!

My Story is in Spanish.
Is a about a Duckie that feels frustated about learning to swim, but with the help of his mom, he do it and feels brave.

We're currently in the process of deliberation - we were able to receive a lot of entries and it takes a while to read through and judge them all!

MY father's a professional artist... he does the best kids picture book style illustrations I've ever seen!
