i am a bit embarassed to say that Arabic is my mother tongue and my girls learned english as first language , french as second , and also african dialect of the country where we live , but i never taught them to read in arabic .
i find it a bit difficult because our spoken language is different of the written one , i do talk to them in arabic , and they understand everything , but showing written words and the spoken ones feels like teaching two different languages .
and probably it didn't help living overseas where arabic learning  resources are not available . my eldest learned to read arabic at the age of six using rosetta stone software , but she could already read in english french and spanish .
from day one i talk to them in arabic and english , but we read in english , and they choose to speak in english . even when i speak to them in arabic they answer in english , which is heartbreaking for their grandmother who doesn't speak english .

i like to do it differently with baby number three , and hopefully this litle reader software will make it possible .
i will try to get an arabic keyboard and hopefully can help you with some translation , so we can have more arabic files .

لم أعرف هل أرد باللغة العربية أم الإنجليزية و لكن اخترت العربية لأننا فى منتداها!
  نعم اللغة العربية الفصحى مختلفة عن لهجتنا فى الكلام و لكن الإختلاف ليس بهذا الكبر أعتقد. من أى البلد أنت؟ و  أين تعيشين؟ أنا من مصر و أعيش الان فى دبى. فى دبى أيضا نفس المشكلة أن الأطفال يتعلمون بالإنجليزية فى المدرسة و يتكلمون مع بعضهم البعض بالإنجليزية و لا
يستطيعون القراءة باللغة العربية لللأسف و لكن أنا أرى أن التعلم المتأخر ليس مستحيلا و لكنه قد يكون أصعب كلما مر الزمن.
  أقترح أن لا تبدأى صفحة جديدة مع طفلك أو طفلتك الجديدة فقط و لكن أن تبدأى صفحة جديدة مع بناتك أيضا
استعملى هذا البرنامج معهم جميعا ! و يمكن أيضا أن تعطى بناتك قصص شيقة و بسيطة باللغة العربية أو أن تعلقى قلبهم بالقران أو بالإنجيل العربى لكى يكون حافز أكثر
 يمكن أن تبحثى على النت على قصص مصورة باللغة العربية و أيضا أعتقد أنه يمكنك
تنزيل لوحة مفاتيح باللغة العربية .... (keyboard)
يمكنك تنزيل أيضا أغانى أطفال باللغة العربية من على youtube أو مواقع مشابهة
اذا احتجت أية مساعدة أطلبى منى
أتعرفين أنه يمكنك أيضا أن تكتبى قصص على little reader?

لو لاحظت ستجدين أننى لا أجيد التحدث بالفصحى أيضا و لكننى أحاول أن أعود نفسى عليها ! 
و لكنى الحمدلله أستطيع قراْءتها عادى و بلا مجهود لأنى تعودت على القرأة بالعربية منذ صغرى ...بناتك ما زالوا صغار و لم يفت الوقت بعد

I hope you don't mind me replying in Arabic till I sort out my keyboard.
We are Lebanese living in Gambia in West Africa for years.

All you have said is very true. Kids are like sponge able to learn everything we present them in clear loving way.
I am very familiar with Doman method, that time we didn't have the luxury of using computer so all my program was hard copy, we spent night cutting gluing creating books and words, and I have a library of thousands of encyclopedic knowledge bits.
And we didn't have the internet to share with other wonderful parents, plus of course we had the stress of an intensive physical program to work on with our child.
Unfortunately Gambia is very primitive and there are not much learning resources available.
I did start teaching Is in English only because I flew to phili twice a year for her evaluation so I would fill my suitcase with books and material from their bookstore and bring it back home .
We learned also French and Spanish.
We don't watch much TV, but there was this Arabic TV program for kids: keef w laych I would let Isa watch it to expose her to Arabic.
In this program they had karaoke type songs where you can read the lyrics on the screen.

Than I got Rosetta stone in Arabic and when we started our first session, what happened was mind blowing. As soon as I started reading for Isa off the screen in Arabic, she objected and said she can read it herself. I told her you cannot I never taught you. She answered that she learned to read from watching the TV.

Well another proof that babies are genius.
Doman tells you, once the child learns two or three languages, it is so easy to learn others, and all you need is a grammar book and a dictionary. And this is what I did with isa at some point she was reading dictionary books to learn new words.

With Tina and the coming baby I like to start earlier and not keep it for later. After all English speaking mums managed to teach their babies Chinese.
So I guess Arabic won't be so difficult with its alphabet and pronunciation.
I have so many homemade English books; maybe you can help me translate them to Arabic.

ماشاءالله على بنتك أنها علمت نفسها بنفسها اللغة العربية من التيليفزيون. 
 و طبعا أنا أحب أن اساعدك فى ترجمة الكتب الى العربية!
