New Interface Little Reader 2.0 comes with a new interface to help you easily navigate and find what you need. The HOME screen is now called the PLAY COURSES screen, as it is now dedicated to playing Courses right after opening Little Reader!

Faster Performance With a new engine under the hood, Little Reader 2.0 loads and performs faster. Now Little Reader is easier to use and playing or customizing lessons is literally a breeze!

Auto-Pointer The Pointer now moves automatically to indicate the direction of reading, and you can even set its speed and direction (for either left-to-right or right-to-left reading). To set the Auto-Pointer delay speed, go to the ADVANCED PLAY / EDIT screen and click on the cog wheel button beside the "Pointer" button (located on the right side of the Play Panel). To set the direction of reading for a specific word, go to the ADVANCED PLAY / EDIT screen and toggle Categories, then select the word you want to edit. Click on the Edit button and go to the "Word Slide" tab of the Edit Word window (the reading direction for all words is set to left-to-right by default).

Show Word In Picture and Video Slides With this new playback setting, you can show the word at the bottom of each picture or video to increase the exposure of this word to your child. To turn this feature on or off, go to the ADVANCED PLAY / EDIT screen and select the lesson, Category, or Playlist you want to edit and toggle the "Playback Settings" tab.

Revamped "Edit Word" Window The redesigned Edit Word Window comes in a new tabbed layout to make editing a word's word, picture, and video slides easier! Create a copy of a word instantly using the "Save As" function! Drag-and-drop files into the Edit Word window to quickly add new media files to your word! Watch a preview of your edited word using the "Test" function!

Title Slides Now you can set specific words as always first or last in a Category's word list – this is particularly useful when you want to set a word as a "title" that will always play first even if your Category is set to play in a random order. To permanently set a word as the "always first" or as the last slide in the list, select the word and click on the Edit button, then toggle the "Others" tab.

Create Sub-Folders and Edit multiple lessons Now you can organize your lessons further by creating folders within other folders, and you can also edit playback settings for multiple lessons, Categories or Playlists in one go!

More Support Features Stumbled upon an error while using Little Reader? Simply go to the Support screen and you will find new wizards for troubleshooting and reporting problems! Launch the BrillKids Support Tools to quickly troubleshoot and fix sound and video playback problems, or create a Diagnostic Report and send it to the BrillKids Team right away!

More Tools In the Tools screen, you will find all your editing, optimization, statistics, and other playback tools all in one page. Little Reader now also lets you backup and restore your data!

Built-in Progress Diary With the built-in Progress Diary, you don't have to keep writing on a physical diary or sheets of paper to document your child's learning process!

If you are currently using Little Reader:

Go to your Account Management page and download your Little Reader 2.0 [BETA] software installer and open it to start the upgrade process. Once you've installed Little Reader 2.0, you may start using it right away or you may choose to upgrade your content files as well. All English (US and UK) and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) curriculum content files have been updated for compatibility with Little Reader 2.0

NOTE: The updated content files will not work in older versions of Little Reader, so you need to upgrade to LR 2.0 in order to import and use these new files.

If you've acquired your Little Reader license key over a year ago (or more):
Please note that your license key might no longer be compatible with Little Reader 2.0. If this is the case, we have provided you with a new license key which you may download or copy-paste from your Account Management page.

Users of Little Reader Chinese Content Packs:
Keep your Chinese Curriculum license keys on hand – after installing Little Reader v2.0 and importing your Chinese Content, you will be asked to key in your Chinese Content keys.

Little Reader is not taking my license key for some reason. It says "Your license is valid but could not be saved for some reason." Samuel is missing his Little Reader sessions!!

Hi everyone,

Regarding the license key problem (for Kimba15, texaslady22, and linzy) -- as you've been using an earlier version of the LR license keys (from Home Basic), we have opted to replace these with the newer version, which you can either download as a license key file or simply copy-and-paste your key into LR's license key prompt.

Kindly check your Account Management page for this, and try re-activating your LR 2.0.

Can you kindly clarify where/when you got the "access denied" error message? Did you get this when you were downloading the LR 2.0 software installer, your updated content files, or your license key/s?

Maybe you can post a screenshot so we can have a look.

Nice features, thank you for working on it! Is there any possibility to have it MAC compartable any time in the future?   It would be great! But in the meantime, we are happy to use it, even though we have to have a Windows set up just for LR!

I just downloaded and installed the LR2.0 beta.

I had taken the backup of all categories (exported in 1 file)

How can add contents from my back-up to just import files
which are not part of the LR curriculum (sem 1 & 2).

Will it resolve the conflicting contents  automatically.

What setting I need to do before I import those files.

@Skylark: Glad you love it! We're trying our best to finally start working on a Mac version (though we can't promise a date yet).

@nikks14: By "previously i havn't installed any of the software," do you mean you are currently doing a free trial (or you didn't purchase Little Reader yet)? If so, then you don't need a license key at this point -- once you've installed Little Reader you may already try it out (for 15 days).

@kreena: I suggest that you import your backup category file first, and then import the updated content files (downloaded from your Account page). This way the updated curriculum courses and categories will overwrite the older version (of the curriculum files) that you have. The updated content files would resolve any import conflicts automatically, so you don't need to change any import settings for this.

i have tried to import my licence key but it says my licence key is corropted. i have downloaded my licence key and tried to impotr it but could not
i have rtied a lot. so i uninstalles lr completely and installed latest verson. but nothing seems to work, i am using the previous verson of lr in another PC
