ASA All,
A friend shared with me a site that has the individual pronunciation of each word for Juz' 'Amma:
http://www.gawaher.com/index.php?showtopic=35646.html&And I also found it located on the Transliteration.org website, when I was reviewing the du'a section:
http://transliteration.org/quran/WebSite_CD/Beginner/Fram3.htmI really like the concept of listening to each word individually, especially for the Doman method of learning Qur'anic Arabic. It is perfect for our teaching methodology, alhamdulillah.
And because I have struggled with learning Qur'anic Arabic, I wanted to share with you what some of my professional tajweed instructor's who possess several ijazzah's (professional certifications for reciting/Qur'an memorization/permission to teaching tajweed/Qur'an) have all agreed upon and cautioned greatly to students of the Qur'an - which is they recommend AGAINST using transliteration systems to learn pronunciation of the Qur'an or Arabic in general - it is best to learn the sounds that correspond with the Arabic letters. The reason for this is that foreign transliteration systems are based on Roman alphabets that actually have different, even if only slightly, articulation points in the Roman letters, than what are found in the Arabic counterparts. A detailed description can be found here:
http://www.abouttajweed.com/learning-tajweed/common-tajweed-errors.htmlThey also strongly advise students against using the modern multi-colored tajweed rules mushaf/Qur'an because the student becomes dependent on the color as an indicator for the rule of tajweed, instead of learning/mastering the tajweed rules. Hence , they will be unable to recite properly from any standard black and white printed Qur'an. I believe that it is useful only for showing an example of a tajweed rule in the Qur'an - but not for learning to actually recite Qur'an with tajweed.
http://www.abouttajweed.com/09060202.htmBecause of this advice that I have received from several highly accomplished and world-renowned tajweed instructors, I choose to use a black and white printed copy of the Qur'an and that is why my .ppt/.pps are in black letters only. If I should choose to use colored letters - it would only be red for the entire word as described in the Doman method, or another single color; and not the multi-colored for one word. Wa Allahu 'Alim (and God knows best).
