The information on this product seems to be referencing its use in Spain. Is this program teaching Spain Spanish or South American Spanish? They are not the same. Thank you.

I remember when the beta announcement came out, I was so disappointed it was Castellano.  There were some responses that made me realize it's not that big of a deal. 

There aren't that many words that are different, we can just correct them and she will pick up the accent her daddy has, not the one on BrillBaby.  Now, I just can't wait to start watching.  My husband will be jazzed too.

At the moment, the development of a full Japanese curriculum is a bit far off in the future (will not be completed anytime soon),  we are sorry for the inconvenience!

On the bright side -- our Japanese users ( similarly to the users from a number of other countries) already able to use Little Reader with Japanese interface, when they use English and other language curriculum.

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean by using LR with Japaese interface. Could you explain this to me?

BrillKids team had a few volunteers translate software strings for leading languages. It is not a curriculum. These are all the options you see when you use Little Reader program, such as the commands "Play Courses", "Play and Edit", "Download", etc

When you helped, as you mentioned,  with translating those software strings (not a Japanese Curriculum).  It enabled Japanese native readers to use the Little Reader program with the software in Japanese. Which is incredibly helpful for parents and caregivers who do not speak much English, but using LR to teach English ( or other languages) to their children.

Thank you so much for that help. It was implemented immediately, last year!

As far as Japanese curriculum, it is still in very early stages of development and we do not have an ETA for its release just yet.

We are looking at Arabic and Russian being the next languages to be released, as both of those are in the later stages of development at the moment.

We're so glad this is now available - thx! One question before we buy. We understand that the core words are obviously translated into Spanish, but are ALL spoken words in the curriculum said in Spanish? For example: "Rectangle ... A rectangle is like a stretched out square". You hear that in English in LR, so can we expect to hear the accompanying sentences also translated? Thanks!

LR Spanish curriculum is translated and localized. That means that EVERYTHING you will hear will be said in Spanish (Castelliano).
