IN THIS ISSUE: Little Reader Touch version 2 now available Little Reader Touch English content update Little Reader Touch Version 2 Little Reader Touch has been updated with some new features from Little Reader (PC) v3. Just go to the Apple App Store's "Update" section to update to the new app version! New Features: Split Audio - play back each part of a word or sentence separately to teach how each letter or syllable is pronounced, and the word or sentence will be played completely at the end (e.g., "don... key... donkey"). Game Mode - instead of playing the lesson again, why not play a picture or word game featuring the words your child learned from the lesson? You can play any Category as a game by tapping the Play Game button before pressing PLAY. Selecting Game Mode in iPad: Selecting Game Mode in iPhone: Child Profiles -set profiles for each child you're teaching and track playback individually. To create a profile, just go to the Lesson Library and tap the Child Profile button at the top right corner of the screen. Selecting a Child Profile in iPad: Selecting a Child Profile in iPhone: New Playback Settings - Advanced Auto Forward options - choose to show lessons always on auto forward (Always ON), turn off auto forward for everything (Always OFF) or follow the auto forward settings as set in each lesson (By Default) To use these new features in your Little Reader Touch app, please update via the Apple App Store! Download the new Little Reader Touch English Content! The Little Reader (PC) v3 English curriculum is now in Little Reader Touch format! Is anyone else having problems downloading the update?  It doesn't seem to be downloading for me. I've even tried to uninstall the app and install again. Now I cant even download the original lessons.  Can anyone help me with this? Basically my problem is when I click download it seems to be stuck at downloading and then it will ask me to restore and once I click that it will attempt to download again but it never seems to complete the download. Very annoying.

The first time I did it it took a very long time. It is a large file. Just keep pressing restore and try to do it in an area with fast download/ Internet speeds. If it doesn't load in a day send a note to tech support.

I am having the SAME problems as lench99 just didn´t have the time to look into it/write. My internet access has been very good and functional so far. BK teams: is there any way to make the download more feasible for us please?

LR doesn't want to work on my iPad! I click the icon , it shows the homepage then it goes to lessons and then goes off. What can I try to do please?

We're looking into the course download problem that lench99 and early learning17 mentioned as I type this.

For lelask: can you confirm if you've updated LRT already or if you're currently using the old app version? In the meantime, you can try restarting your iPad and perhaps close your unused / inactive apps and see if that helps

For me, the problem got resolved when I freed space on my iPad. Thought to mention this in case it would be a help to someone! (it does mention this as one of the possible solutions in help article  )

My iPad just got back from repair and I only added few apps ( one and half page).
The LR icon on my iPad shows number 2 but when I go to iTunes it says there are no updates.
I tried to restart-no change.
All other apps are working fine.

I managed to download the update for the 1st semester after clicking restore many many times.  It seems like it will download a bit and then it will time out.  Everytime it time outs, it will show the restore button which you will need to click again.  My internet speed is 100MBPS from Starhub so I don't think it's an internet speed problem.  My ipad have around 50GB free space so it's definitely not that.  Still trying for semester 2. 

To lelask, the udpate is doen from the app and not from itunes.  Go into the app and click on "download lessons."  Tghen click on the lessons you want to update. 

Can Lappy or Kezia pleases give us an updatte when it's available?

I have tried to restart the iPad, delete LR from iPad and download it again and it still drops after few seconds. I am attaching video as well

Hi everyone, unfortunately we need a bit more time to get to the bottom of the download problem in LRT. Very sorry for the inconvenience! 

Here are a few more suggestions that you can try in the meantime:

A few particular things that I recommend for you from our list of suggestions (if you haven't done these yet) are these:

• #2 - Turn off Auto-lock while you're downloading, and make sure your iPad or iPhone is "awake" throughout the download process
• #4 - Make sure your iPad or iPhone is fully charged or keep it plugged in to power during the download (since your device needs to be "awake," it will likely drain the battery a bit)
• #6 - If the download appears to have hanged (e.g., it's stuck at "waiting"), go to Settings and tap "Reset Active Downloads" and re-download

Also, in case you are using Little Reader Touch on 2 or 3 devices and the problems happen in some or all of them, we need to know which exact devices you're having problems in (e.g., is it iPad 3, iPad mini, iPhone 5, etc.).

Sorry, Little Reader Touch is currently available only for iOS devices (iPad, iPhone or iPod touch). We're working on an Android version of the app but it may not be available any time soon as we are still in the early stages of development.
